How did one Ignite Divine Fire?
Chu Fei turned and asked Wu Yong. Wu Yong said he only knew that such a thing as Igniting Divine Fire existed, but knew nothing more.
That evening, Chu Fei visited Mystic Dragon Feihong. They spoke through the night, and Chu Fei finally gained a fundamental understanding of Igniting Divine Fire.
There was actually something similar in reality—Sarira.
But gods existed on a higher level and dimension. To borrow Buddhist terminology, a godhead was the sarira of the soul.
Once a soul became powerful enough, one could attempt to Ignite Divine Fire.
There were many ways to Ignite Divine Fire:
First, ask another god for help;
Second, find "otherworldly flame"—flames left behind after a god's death, rare heavenly treasures, and so on;
Third, do it yourself and live well; try rubbing sticks together to make fire. Except Divine Fire required drilling into one's own soul;
Fourth, build up strength over time and wait for the soul to mature on its own;
Fifth, rituals, sacrifices, and so on;
Sixth, prayers from believers or living beings—essentially a specialized form of ritual sacrifice;
Seventh, fight madly and challenge opponents above one's level.
Each of the seven main methods had its problems.
First, why would another god help you unless you were their subordinate? And the Six Desires Demonic Realm had no gods at all. Those so-called Spirit Gods were more like super heart demons, not gods of a faith-based system.
Second, most heavenly flames were tyrannical and extremely dangerous.
Third, anyone who drilled into their own soul was ruthless. One slip and it became suicide—the most agonizing kind of suicide.
