He Lingxiu is the prodigious disciple of True Person Wu Yang of the Huayang Sect. During Old Ancestor Tong Hui's Nascent Soul tribulation, she accompanies Wu Yang aboard a nuclear boat, casually cracking walnuts while observing the gathering cultivators and sect politics. Though her demeanor appears innocent and childish, she quickly identifies Wang Li by name and recognizes his connection to Lü Shenliang 1 10.

She had intended to acquire Tong Hui's Yin Thunder Umbrella, but deliberately advises Wu Yang to wait for Tong Hui himself to settle its ownership. After Tong Hui gives the umbrella to Wang Li and Lü Shenliang, she watches their departure without open resentment 11 12.

Following the incident, Lingxiu investigates Wang Li and Lü Shenliang's history. She discovers that they have repeatedly entered the chaotic continent and suspects that their cultivation resources come from their own expeditions rather than secret support from the Profound Heaven Sect 27 28.

She later travels alone to the Profound Heaven Sect's solitary peak, bypassing its dangerous outer barrier and observing Wang Li and Lü Shenliang through their concealment and surrounding terrain.
