With that faint sound as the opening note and Marcus's charge as the battle horn, the curtain on the fight was raised!
Marcus flashed in front of Wu Yan and let out a strange laugh. His cloak whipped through the air like lightning, carving out a sharp arc as it swept around. The rock Wu Yan had been standing on was cleanly sliced in half at an angle as though it were tofu!

Amid a tremendous crash, the severed rock fell to the ground, kicking up a huge cloud of dust. Its remaining surface was as smooth as a mirror, pointing skyward like a sharp spear!
With his very first strike, Marcus displayed his immensely enhanced strength! Yet he did not look pleased in the slightest. Instead, he turned his gaze to the side, where Wu Yan had somehow appeared atop another rock, staring at him expressionlessly. A surge of magical energy powerful enough to surprise even Marcus slowly rose from Wu Yan's body!
"Indeed, you seem to have improved a little..."
Hearing Wu Yan speak as though addressing someone weaker than himself, Marcus snorted furiously. Without the slightest hesitation, he sprang forward again, bent low as he rushed toward Wu Yan. His body became a black gust of wind, crossing half the hundred-meter distance in the blink of an eye!
