Background / History

Ikaros was summoned by Wu Yan with her memories and emotions initially sealed. Wu Yan paid to have the seal removed, while the System confiscated her All-Purpose Card; her consciousness then synchronized with his. 73

Upon awakening, Ikaros attempted to begin the Master-recognition “Engraving” process, but panicked when her collar was absent. Wu Yan explained that their lives had merged and that the collar was unnecessary. She accepted him as her Master and identified herself as “Strategic Angel α, Ikaros.” 74

Created as a weapon, Ikaros originally relied on program settings and Master orders rather than independent judgment. Her emotional system was underdeveloped, though she was capable of sincere emotions as she gradually learned to interact with Wu Yan and the others. 74 82

During the treasure-hunting conflict, Ikaros entered Queen of the Skies Mode to devastate a stone field, then saved Wu Yan, Hinagiku, Mikoto, and Lilin after the resulting collapse opened a pit beneath them. 82 She later destroyed the Giant Spider Queen and its guards with a magic-circle attack before confronting Karilas, Momili, and Charade. 98

Ikaros fought the three Eighth-Order opponents in the air, using Artemis, Aegis, Apollon, and ultimately the Uranus System to overwhelm them. Although flight and crowd-control weapons gave her a major advantage, the prolonged three-on-one battle still inflicted injuries before she escalated to her strongest armaments. 99 100 101 102 103

In Academy City, the System gave Ikaros a cover identity as a Level 4 esper whose ability was the Absolute Defense Circle. Mugino Shizuri attempted to recruit her into ITEM after her defense withstood Meltdowner, but Ikaros prioritized locating Wu Yan and arrived late for the mission meant to test her. 162

After attaining Ninth Order, Ikaros began emitting an unexplained glow from her chest. The phenomenon was the awakening of her Pandora System, caused by her growth exceeding the specifications of her original body. When the Beast King brutally injured Wu Yan, her intense emotions activated Pandora Evolution, transforming her into Ikaros Ver II. 573 589 590

Later, Ikaros and Astrea investigated Black Light activity in the Giant Beast Forest using their wide-area radar. Ikaros was engulfed by Black Light and held it back with Aegis while directing Astrea to pursue her own evolution rather than recklessly attempt a rescue. 1030 1031 1032

Ikaros is an exceptionally beautiful Angeloid with pink hair, indigo eyes, and pink feathered wings. Her usual expression is placid and distant, while her battle forms give her a cold, mechanical presence. 74 99 1004

Personality

Initially, Ikaros is quiet, literal, and heavily dependent on her Master’s commands. The loss of her collar leaves her confused because she has little ability to decide what to do without orders. 74
