"Greedy humans, always trying to threaten us." The Spirit Empress's petite, delicate body was lush and full. "Isn't he afraid of bringing disaster upon himself?"
"He didn't keep his word!" Ling Shu snapped. "Humans really have no integrity! I'll go demand the Five Spirits Refining God Array back from him!"
"It's useless. He'll just give you a used Five Spirits Refining God Array." The Spirit Empress said, "When we negotiated the terms, he promised only that he would not cause further trouble within five thousand years, provided he himself was not under threat. He had already left himself an opening then."
"If we go looking for him, he can simply say that humanity is currently under threat from the Heavenly Race and has no choice but to restrain them."
Ling Shu snorted through her cute nose, puzzled. "Since you knew that, Spirit Empress, why did you trade with him in the first place?"
"At the very least, we maintained peace for 2,500 years, didn't we?" said the Spirit Empress. "And giving him the Five Spirits Refining God Array back then was also meant to shift blame elsewhere, making the Heavenly Race believe that we were cooperating with humanity."
