"Amitabha! Bodhisattva, because Yuan Ji cultivated the Nine Yang Divine Skill and has encountered such a rare opportunity, he wishes to see more techniques. May I ask, Bodhisattva, if there are methods for cultivating the physical body?"
In truth, Yang An was not particularly interested in any of the techniques Old Monk Haishu had demonstrated.
No matter how many there were, none of these techniques could compare to the destructive power of light-based techniques.
But he could not say that what he wanted were light-based techniques. As forbidden techniques, Old Monk Haishu would not bring out such methods.
Even if Haishu could produce them, he would not dare accept them, or he would expose himself.
Thus, the best choice for him was naturally a method of physical cultivation.
At present, the only physical-body technique he possessed was Nine Strength Astonishing Dragon. Yet the power he accumulated in ordinary times could only be used once for a brief period and could not serve as a regular means.
If he wanted to conceal all the abilities he possessed, he could only seek another method.
"Yuan Ji is interested in methods of physical cultivation?"
After three consecutive demonstrations of techniques, Yang An had taken a liking to none of them. Bodhisattva Haishu showed no displeasure; instead, he grew even more interested.
What he had demonstrated were techniques that ordinary disciples could never come into contact with given their status, yet they held little attraction for Yang An.
That was not to say Yang An would therefore leave Haishu with the impression that he had lofty ambitions but paltry abilities.
Quite the opposite.
This was the pride befitting a Buddha Child.
He would not be tempted by things he did not need. Neither greedy nor contentious, his heart was steadfast.
