Lin Xuan survived Baoshe’s attacks and a deadly Heavenly Tribulation, then pursued her into the void, where she died and Hundun was released. As Hundun overwhelmed Lin Xuan, the Outer-Domain Heavenly Demons invaded the Three Realms, and Wu Tan warned Bingpo that Painting Demon had fallen.

• Baoshe fused with the Ancestral Spirit Snake and grievously wounded Lin Xuan, but Yue'er protected him, prompting Lin Xuan to trigger a Heavenly Tribulation while restraining Baoshe.
• Lin Xuan endured the tribulation with the Bailing Seal’s help and advanced to the Tribulation Transcendence Late Stage, then pursued the injured Baoshe with Yue'er and Xiao Die.
• Baoshe fled across the wasteland as Lin Xuan chased her, until a bald cultivator trapped her briefly with a self-detonation and Lin Xuan caught up.

While Lin Xuan cultivated in a mysterious space and developed his command of the laws, the Outer-Domain Heavenly Demons ravaged the Three Realms. He returned to the Spirit World, learned of the invasion, and headed toward Queyue City as its defenders came under siege.

• Little Fur Ball saved Lin Xuan from Hundun, then grew enormous, trapped Hundun in a silver net, and swallowed it.
• Bingpo arrived at Jingyun City and fought for a day and a night, killing nearly a million invading demons and restoring the Ancient Demons’ resolve.
• Lin Xuan explored the Cold Pool’s underground cave, found a Miniature Mountain and River Map, and spent years cultivating and studying its laws.

Lin Xuan left Fenghen Realm for Nailong Realm and learned that Outer-Domain Heavenly Demons had overrun much of it. As he fought through their forces toward Cloud Hidden Sect, three Demon Venerables trapped him in the Red Gauze Dust Array, but he survived their attacks and the bald Demon Venerable’s self-destruction.

• Lin Xuan defeated the four Heavenly Demon Lords attacking Queyue City, then learned the city's Inter-boundary Teleportation Array had coordinates for Nailong Realm and used it to leave Fenghen Realm.
• Lin Xuan emerged in Nailong Realm, learned that the Outer-Domain Heavenly Demons had occupied nearly half the realm and that Nailong True Person was missing, then flew toward Cloud Hidden Sect.
• Lin Xuan killed more than a hundred thousand Heavenly Demons after a restriction exposed him, but a dying elder marked him with divine sense and drew repeated waves of enemies to his location.
• Venerable Mi attacked Lin Xuan, who shattered his weapon and wounded him, then pursued him into a formation that became a black desert.
• Venerable Mi’s allies trapped Lin Xuan in the Red Gauze Dust Array, which suppressed his Domain, and attacked him with formations, treasures, and demonic techniques.

After the sect recovered its headquarters, he guided Ouyang Qinxin through a dangerous tribulation and brought her back safely, then noticed cultivators from Wanxiao Immortal Palace near the sect.

• Lin Xuan escaped the broken Red Gauze Dust Array as Marquis Heaven Origin arrived and began suspecting that Lin Xuan might be behind powerful fluctuations.
• The Immortal Dao Alliance fought to reclaim territory from the Outer-Domain Heavenly Demons, while Heavenly Pivot Sword Venerable survived possession by Venerable Zhi and turned against Lin Xuan's disciple Gongsun Yu'er.
• Lin Xuan reunited with Gongsun Yu'er, learned about the crisis at Yunfeng Mineral Vein, and returned with her to Cloud Hidden Sect, where hundreds of thousands of disciples welcomed him.
