Background

Formerly a researcher, Lu Xueling escaped Schicksal alongside Sirin, the consciousness of the Herrscher of the Void, through a Spacetime Wormhole device. Their escape ended in a crash landing on an unknown planet, leaving him severely injured. To survive, he transferred his powers to Sirin and entrusted her with keeping him alive. Otto considered Lu Xueling capable but not an immediate threat to his plans. 1

After arriving in the Douluo world, Lu Xueling established himself at Mingde Hall and used the Honkai God Simulation System to develop Honkai-based technology. His work brought him influence within the Sun Moon Empire, where he became Mingde Hall's Deputy Hall Master and directed Valkyrie Armor research. 24 47

He later concealed a second identity as Di Lan, Bishop of the Holy Decree. After the Sun Moon Empire surrendered to him, he publicly became the Sun Moon Bishop, instituted legal recognition for soul beasts, and renamed the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy as Saint Freya Academy. 167

Following the modification of Douluo Star, Lu Xueling became its Honkai God and prepared the Sun Moon Immortal Boat for expansion into the wider universe. His stated long-term aims include destroying remaining Aberration fragments, gathering the conditions for the Herrscher of Finality, and leading the Immortal Boat into the great universe. 232 246

Lu Xueling is composed and calculating, typically meeting political pressure, threats, and displays of status with calm indifference. During negotiations, he leverages his technological superiority to set strict terms and preserve sole authority over his research results. 24 49 70

He is an ambitious strategist who plans far beyond immediate conflicts. He engineers alliances, conceals his identities when expedient, and treats Herrscher Cores, Sacred Marks, and technological projects as tools for building a larger power structure. 43 110 157 167
