Seraphine gazed at the rows upon rows of towering buildings beneath Zaun's night sky. Though the buildings looked old and rundown, the moonlight spilling over them lent them a distinctive beauty.
Zaun's prosperity was far inferior to Piltover's, but its people were no less so.
Along the way, Seraphine had seen a few walking corpses, but most people's souls sang songs of hope.
If Piltover was the City of Progress, then this had to be the City of Hope.
Seraphine silently reshaped her impression of Zaun.
Her previous understanding of Zaun had come from hearsay, but now the real Zaun stood before her.
Perhaps it had once been terrible here, but it was absolutely not the filthy, chaotic den of evil that Piltover claimed it to be.
The people here suffered the pain their births had brought them, yet most had not sunk into despair. They still longed for a better life and held a yearning for freedom in their hearts.
Listening to those soul songs that sought hope amid despair, Seraphine felt as though her heart were being choked.
Perhaps she should do something for her parents' homeland too.
When they reached the entrance of The Last Drop, she turned to Ekko and suddenly asked:
"Ekko, if you had the ability to convey your innermost thoughts, what would you do?"
"Convey my innermost thoughts? You mean, make other people understand what you truly feel?"
Ekko scratched the back of his head in confusion. Seeing her nod, he thought carefully for a while before replying with a grin:
"Then I'd definitely make those arrogant Pilties open their eyes and see that us Zaunites aren't anything like they imagine."
"That seems like a good idea. Thank you for the suggestion, Ekko!"
Seraphine smiled as well, though there was now a trace
