The enormous dust cloud pressed down from all over the sky, filling the entire field of view. Countless fragments of rock immediately battered the faceplate with a clatter. It was like leaping from a great height and smashing into the ground, or splashing into a murky deep sea; in an instant, chaos engulfed every direction.
Ling Xingjian could no longer see anything. She could only feel as though she were in raging tidal waters, or swept into a mad storm. She could not tell up from down or east from west. The N4 Armor crackled under the impacts, as if it would be torn to pieces the next moment.
But suddenly, everything seemed to calm.
When she opened her eyes, the surroundings were still murky and chaotic, yet the rocks no longer struck her body, because Shi Tie Zhu's direction and speed of travel had gradually synchronized with the rolling dust.
Shi Tie Zhu felt as though his entire soul had been ignited, shining brilliantly as his state climbed step by step.
He could no longer even tell whether he was Shi Tie Zhu or Shi Tiexin. The two had become a more complex composite soul. Information raced back and forth, emotions synchronized to an extraordinary degree, and even their personalities, while remaining independent, continuously converged.
