This is fanfiction, so I will not alter the original work's settings. However, where the original does not provide an explanation, I will offer some interpretations based on my own understanding. Some of these interpretations may make certain readers feel that I am talking nonsense, writing recklessly, or disrespecting the original work, but that cannot be helped. A thousand readers have a thousand Hamlets, and a thousand people reading Shrouding the Heavens will have a thousand different interpretations.
If you feel that anything I write contradicts the original, you can point it out, and I will do my best to correct it.
Still, please use material from the original work to prove me wrong. Personal speculation or things written in other fanfictions do not count.

First, I did not intend to involve temporal paradoxes.
Whenever I thought about this issue, I wondered: if I cultivated to a realm where I could freely travel through time, return to the past, and alter it, then I could say with certainty that there would never be a second person capable of reaching that realm. The moment I discovered even the slightest sign of one, I would immediately return to the past and kill them!
Once you thought about it that way, you realized that whoever first reached such a realm would become the master of the world. They could determine the fates of all living beings, determine the fate of all heavens and
