Upon arriving at the Demon Castle, Zhou Tong naturally walked over to the reception counter.
"Are you registering for the Demon Assessment or posting a mission?" An old man with white hair stood behind the counter. He glanced at Zhou Tong, his tone utterly calm.
"I'm registering for the Demon Assessment."
"You should know the rules. Registering for the Demon Assessment requires a fee of ten thousand Ink Stones."
Zhou Tong nodded. With a flip of his hand, an Azure Stone bar appeared, which he handed directly to the white-haired old man.
The white-haired old man accepted the Azure Stone bar and nodded. Then, he took out a seal bearing the image of a demonic one-eyed devil and handed it to Zhou Tong. "This is proof that you are taking the assessment. Tell me your address so I can record it. You'll be notified on the day of the assessment."
The Demon Assessment was not some sort of test. Those taking it would actually participate in a lowest-tier Demon Mission. Those who completed the mission would naturally become demons, while those who failed would naturally fail the assessment. With enough luck, even the weakest Lowgod could pass; with bad luck, even a Highgod might not make it through.
Moreover, since it involved an actual mission, group Demon Missions were generally selected. However, that required waiting until enough people had gathered before it could begin.
Generally speaking, there was one assessment every month. If one was lucky, they could leave the next day; if not, they would have to wait another month.
Zhou Tong was naturally already very familiar with the process of the Demon Assessment. He immediately left his address and departed.
After returning to his lodging at the elven hotel, Zhou Tong went straight back to his small courtyard.
