Background / History
Zhou Tong retained knowledge from a previous life, including nine mastered techniques and the complete Thunder Emperor Treasure Technique. He suspected a connection to Mu Qing, the lightning specialist who served the Desolate Heaven Emperor. Without a teacher, he cultivated alone on Kunlun Mountain and began establishing the Thunder Emperor Method rune by rune 4.
He initially chose the Kirin as his second Divine Form because his fighting style suited the physically powerful Ten Fierce more than the Thunder Emperor’s lightning-focused path. His long-term cultivation path became the transformation of Ten Fierce into Divine Forms, rather than the orthodox evolution of an Azure Heaven Hegemonic Body 80 220.
Tai Xuan Sect accepted Zhou Tong but later abandoned him under outside pressure, leaving him wanted across the Big Dipper. He regarded departure as inevitable: his forceful and domineering temperament made it impossible for him to remain within a sect’s restraints 336. He subsequently became a feared independent figure, hunted by the Human World and Hell Assassin Divine Dynasties and later exterminating their exposed strongholds 362.
His Divine Forms ultimately merged, allowing him to invoke the incomplete Hegemon Body Ancestral Form during his battle with Yin Tiande. He later developed it into a form bearing the characteristics of all Ten Fierce 220 292 570.
After attaining Dao, Zhou Tong founded or ruled the Divine Realm and concealed the fact that the Blood Phoenix Great Emperor was his own incarnation. He used this incarnation alongside his true body in campaigns against the forbidden zones 602 604.
Appearance
Zhou Tong is repeatedly described as tall, black-haired, and physically imposing. His body carries extraordinary crimson blood tinged with purple energy, while his vital energy is recognizable enough for others to identify him as the Overlord 425 460 541.
- In Hegemon Body Ancestral Form, he manifests traits of the Ten Fierce: True Dragon body, Immortal Phoenix and Thunder Emperor wings, Kunpeng wings, Sky Horn Ant horn, Kirin feet, Gu claws, Nine-Leaf Sword Grass hair, and a Nine Netherworld Howler tail 570.
- As Qinglong, he can take a child-like humanoid form of roughly seven or eight years old, with jade horns and a majestic aura 768.
- His dragon transformations increasingly alter his body into a more dragon-like form 746.
Personality
Zhou Tong is intensely self-reliant. He cultivates, researches, and refines techniques independently, treating battle as both a test and a means of improvement. He is willing to confront stronger opponents and openly seeks difficult fights to perfect his Forbidden Domain and battle intent 4 494.
He is also strategic and patient. He prepares formations, disguises, escape tools, and contingencies before acting; he gathers intelligence before retaliating against enemies and often conceals the full extent of his power 188 223 604. He can be merciless toward hostile forces—especially assassins and those who threaten his allies—but does not kill indiscriminately for its own sake. He refuses to use evil-path treasures whose creation may have required mass sacrifice 362 694.
His defining trait is dominance. He follows his own rules, responds decisively to opposition, and inspires fear even among powerful contemporaries 472.
Abilities & Skills

- Uses the Kirin Treasure Art most often against powerful opponents 116.

- Uses the Immortal Phoenix Treasure Art for healing, restoration, and sustaining himself in extended battles 116 145.

- Can merge Divine Form traits freely, producing hybrid dragon, phoenix, and sword-grass manifestations 220.
Hegemon Body Ancestral Form
A forbidden transformation derived from Zhou Tong’s physique and Ten Fierce Divine Forms.
- Initially manifested six Ten Fierce traits after his body was destroyed in battle 292.
- Its full potential originally required Quasi-Emperor-level understanding of his bloodline and physique 298.
- Later bore the characteristics of all Ten Fierce simultaneously and greatly amplified his physical power and resilience 570.
- Activation is frequently paired with the All Character Secret and Battle Immortal Art 570.
Sixth Secret Realm
Zhou Tong’s Sixth Secret Realm integrates the True Fates of the Ten Fierce into his life essence.
- The Thunder Emperor True Fate enhanced his physique, life force, and Gates of Potential after three thousand years of comprehension 1119.
- Unlike ordinary cultivation enhancement, it raises innate talent itself and breaks the usual balance between natural gifts and growth potential 1119.
- Later integrations include the Sky Horn Ant, Kirin, and Immortal Phoenix True Fates 1403 1542.
- The Sky Horn Ant integration empowers every Gate of Potential with immense strength 1403.
Battle Immortal Art and Furnace of Battle Intent
Zhou Tong possesses combat arts that intensify his power through sustained battle.
- Battle Immortal Art enables explosive bursts sufficient to kill Quasi-Emperor Tengshe and the Sacred Spirit Divine Tiger in rapid succession 540.
- Furnace of Battle Intent raises his combat power as battle continues, though pushing it to its limit is dangerous 731.
- His battle intent alone can damage an opponent’s Dao Heart; Dao Yan the Great’s protector was driven to spit blood despite wearing the Dao Tribulation Gold Armor 541.
Heaven Slaying Dao
A personal killing Dao developed from the Ruthless Great Emperor’s Heaven Slaying Dao.
- Zhou Tong reconstructed its principles using the Grass Character Sword Art, True Dragon Method, and Immortal Phoenix Method 182.
- His understanding evolved through battle and integrated Kunpeng principles, making it increasingly distinct from the Ruthless Great Emperor’s original technique 366.
Formations, Refining, and Spatial Tools
Zhou Tong is a master of complex formations and artifact refinement.
- Created Mysterious Jade Platforms containing formations from multiple Great Emperors, self-destruct arrays, teleportation functions, and remote communication functions 188.
- Combined the Soldier Character Secret and Group Character Secret to refine disguise jade pendants that alter appearance and obstruct most tracking and divination 223.
- Established a Source Heaven Divine Array after studying a mountain range for three days 471.
- Can use the Soldier Character Secret to interfere with and seize Emperor Weapons 232.
Physical Combat
Zhou Tong’s greatest consistent advantage is his physical foundation.
- Defeated a Saint King and Great Perfection Saints with basic attacks, including a one-punch kill 448.
- Killed seven Saint Kings in seven consecutive blows 449.
- Can fight Emperor Weapons with his bare hands, though this can injure him 540.
- His Sky Horn Ant bloodline grants extreme raw strength; its innate Divine Ability increases his speed and soul strength roughly tenfold and his physical strength by dozens of times 923 980.
Dragon Clan Arts
During his Qinglong period, Zhou Tong awakened and developed Dragon Clan inheritances.
- Reverse Dragon Seven Steps — a pure martial technique whose repeated steps build terrifying force 746 753.
- Divine Dragon Tail Sweep — an Ancient Dragon Battle Technique 746.
- Dragon Fist — adapted from the True Dragon Treasure Art for another cultivation system 796 802.
- Tyrannosaurus Rex lineage abilities grant control over wind and thunder 768.
- Can use dragon horns and claws to immobilize or kill attackers 759.

- Immortal Tribulation Sword Art
- Peace Calamity Art
He used all three together to wound the Undying Heavenly Emperor and destroy the Flying Immortal Waterfall 625.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Early Big Dipper cultivation
Zhou Tong began alone on Kunlun Mountain, cultivated the Thunder Emperor Method, and pursued Ten Fierce Divine Forms suited to his Hegemonic Body 4 80. His exposure as a Qilin at Tai Xuan Sect forced him and Ye Fan to flee, after which he used a Chaotic Ancient Saint Art talisman to banish their Half-step Great Power pursuer into the void 90.
Rise of the Overlord
After Tai Xuan Sect abandoned him, Zhou Tong became a wanted figure across the Big Dipper. He defeated Ji Zi, outmaneuvered major Holy Lands through his Mysterious Jade Platforms, seized Emperor Weapons, and developed a reputation strong enough to alter the political balance of Ziwei after defeating Yin Tiande 186 188 232 298.
Human Ancient Road
On the Human Ancient Road, Zhou Tong entered Divine Prohibition, fought Saint Kings and Great Sages, and developed a growing Forbidden Domain through constant battle. He killed seven Saint Kings in seven blows, survived extraordinary tribulations, and advanced to the third heaven of Saint King 432 449 456 457.
Attainment and forbidden-zone wars
Zhou Tong achieved Alternative Dao Attainment and Great Accomplishment while hiding the Blood Phoenix incarnation’s true identity 602. He then joined that incarnation to attack forbidden zones, tore the Divine Ruins from the Big Dipper, defeated Supreme Beings, wounded the Undying Heavenly Emperor, and eradicated the Forbidden Zones 604 625.
Battle Immortal Path
After defeating Emperor Venerable alongside allies, Zhou Tong reached the Mortal Immortal realm and completed his Battle Immortal Path 731 734. He continued advancing through multiple worlds and cultivation systems, including dragon cultivation, divine laws, Heart Power, and the Sixth Secret Realm 746 980 1119 1232.
Immortal Emperor conflicts
Zhou Tong broke through to Quasi-Immortal Emperor, survived an encirclement by eight Quasi-Immortal Emperors, and refined all of them over thirty years 1380 1401. Though still a Quasi-Immortal Emperor, his physique became capable of contending with weaker Immortal Emperors in close combat 1472.
Trivia
- Zhou Tong rarely used the Thunder Emperor Treasure Technique in early major battles despite acquiring it first; he favored the Kirin, Grass Character Sword, and Immortal Phoenix arts instead 116.
- He considers time for study and improvement his greatest weakness, since his scriptures, secret arts, and divine abilities require further integration and refinement 186.
- His cultivation path preserves his emotions and personal principles; he explicitly rejects the single-minded pursuit of power at any cost 694.
