The night was already very dark, but no one felt sleepy.
Cody stood off to the side, staring blankly at the swaying campfire.
Miriam still had not woken. Evan was looking after her in the tent, and the Life Potion with a third left in it had been placed beside her, waiting for her to wake and drink it.
Lin Mo sat beneath a tree not far from the fire, studying the scroll in his hands by the firelight.
Bern had just returned from checking the traps when he saw Lin Mo beckon to him.
The knight uncle walked over with slightly unsteady steps and sat down carefully.
Life Potions were limited in number. Although he had drunk some, the medicinal effect was nowhere near enough. It had only helped him regain the ability to move; he was still a long way from recovery.

Bern looked at the young man before him and thanked him from the bottom of his heart.
Back in the Secret Realm, if Lin Mo had wanted to, with his strength, he could have chosen to leave directly. Neither the Tattooed Cat Demon nor the Minotaur could have stopped him, and he would even have had enough room to take the spoils with him.
