"I feel like I missed something really interesting."

Suzu suddenly shuddered all over, stroking her chin in thought.

"Don't say weird things like that while you're on watch." Mei handed Suzu the grilled meat in her hand. "The monsters' levels are getting higher and higher. What a headache."

"Higher levels mean better rewards." Suzu took the grilled meat and stretched lazily. "But we still haven't found the next goddess statue..."

Since every step in high-level areas was dangerous, whenever they had traveled a long way without seeing a goddess statue, no one wanted to return to town.

Going back to town to rest meant they would have to walk all those roads again the next day... especially since some goddess statues were more than a day's journey apart.

"We should be close. We ought to reach Dragon Nest tomorrow."

"Once we reach Dragon Nest, we'll still have to explore the secret passage first... Hopefully there'll be a goddess statue in there too." Suzu scratched her head.

None of them planned to confront Bella head-on, so they would have a rather long stretch of sneaking ahead of them.

No one present was a horror game enthusiast, so they had no enthusiasm for this sort of hide-and-seek.
