Unbeknownst to Hu Feng, while his guess wasn't wrong—the Pantheon was indeed no more, and the Titans were all but wiped out—there was still one entity that received Hu Feng's message.
There was a difference between "almost all" and "all."
In a remote corner of the universe, a planet resembling a dead star floated silently in a galaxy. Its surface was only barren gray rock, with dust storms raging incessantly. Such planets were called waste stars, possessing no value and serving no purpose. An entity had lived here for an unknown duration, facing the dust storms and tirelessly practicing his swordsmanship on the desolate surface with a broken sword. Although he knew countless incredibly powerful spells, he understood that his magic would be utterly useless against his sworn enemy. Only martial prowess, as a warrior, offered hope of defeating his foe.
Dragging his weary body back to a cave, Argus sat silently on a stone mountain, lost in thought. After a while, he habitually began fiddling with a small Titan signal receiver. This was the entirety of his daily life.
He turned off the signal jamming system. Though he knew it was highly improbable, he still refused to give up hope. He desperately wished to one day receive a message from any member of the Pantheon, even though he was acutely aware that they had all perished...
Suddenly, Argus's eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief, and then pure ecstasy surged through him.
A signal! A contact request signal!
He chose to accept the reception at the fastest speed possible.
"Uh... Greetings, esteemed members of the Pantheon. My name is Sargodarr, I'm a newborn Titan... Uh... to be precise, I'm a Titan soul that hasn't even been born yet. I don't know if you can hear this message, I just wanted to let you know..." At this point, the communicator fell silent. Argus anxiously stood up.
"Keep talking! Where are you!" He was truly going mad with anxiety.
"There's nothing else... it's just... Help me!!! I don't want to face both Sargeras and the Void Lords alone! I'm still young, I don't want to die prematurely!" After another pause, a rustling sound came through. Argus seemed to hear the newborn of his kind muttering to himself, "Is this thing reliable or not? Damn it... nowhere is lit up... whatever, doesn't matter..."
Then, the newborn Titan continued speaking loudly: "Well... to put it simply, I tricked Sargeras and the Void Lords. The Void Lords wanted to corrupt me, and Sargeras wanted to kill me, but both failed. I also managed to harness their Void and Fel energies, and then escaped with my planetary egg. Now I need help. I don't know how long my current location will remain safe, so... if you receive my message, please contact me as soon as possible. I'll tell you my location."
Argus sank back onto the stone heavily. Just then, the message suddenly began speaking again: "Oh, right, if Sargeras receives this message, I want to say... Screw you! Go clean your neck and wait to die!"
The Avenger Argus couldn't help but smile. He couldn't remember the last time he had smiled. Was it since Sargeras's betrayal, or since the fall of the Pantheon?
But none of that mattered anymore, did it?
Titans still had hope!
A Titan who had mastered Void and Fel energies, and had not yet been corrupted! More importantly, this Titan was a newborn soul who hadn't even hatched! He had lived from the birth of the universe until now, and for the first time, he saw a Titan soul that hadn't been born yet capable of condensing an avatar! For the first time, he saw a Titan who hadn't even grasped its divine office already possessing two ultimate weapons!
Yes, this newborn Titan was hope!
Hope to restore the glory of the Titans!
The... dawn of the Titans!
The Hu Feng, hailed as the dawn of the Titans, had now returned to the World Tree Teldrassil. He was busy installing Titan energy generators on his Divine Kingdom planet, Sargodarr, and in Azeroth's Tower of Slumber. The energy generators in his Divine Kingdom were primarily for supplying the Titan Energy Cannon; he intended to transform his planetary egg into a colossal cosmic planetary fortress.
As for the Night Elves' territory, such cosmic defensive weapons were unnecessary, but Titan energy walls were still needed.
Thus, a grand construction project was launched within the Night Elf society. The Divine Emissary himself had requested that all current Night Elf territories be enclosed by city walls. The interior of the land was also to be divided into regions, with walls erected at the borders of each region, turning every area into an impregnable fortress. He would then use the technology bestowed by the gods to transform these walls into divine shields that no one could breach.
In the following days, waves of light purple, undulating city walls, characteristic of the Night Elves, appeared everywhere. Traditional elven patterns were carved onto the walls, giving them a highly artistic feel. When viewed against the backdrop of the dense forests, they blended in perfectly.
Each region had only one fortress gate for entry and exit. The Elves simply needed to dispatch troops to guard each entrance and exit to live in peace. As for why the walls weren't guarded? Obviously, because it wasn't necessary. The Titan Energy Shields were normally in an inactive standby state. The moment any non-Elven creature attempted to fly over the walls, the shields would instantly activate and rise infinitely, ensuring they would smash headfirst into them, dazed.
Want to come in? Fine, go to the city gates and fight properly!
The gates in the heartland were normally patrolled by a symbolic guard or rangers and did not close. The fortress gates at the borders, however, were heavily guarded. If any enemy attacked, the gates could be sealed at any time, allowing the rangers to happily take potshots from atop the walls.
The Divine Emissary proudly called this defensive system the Night Great Wall. The Elves grumbled about it endlessly. Well, they understood "Night," but what was "Great Wall"? A long city wall? Hmm... the name did fit.
The Night Elves' current territory occupied almost the entire continent of Kalimdor, excluding the desolate Barrens and the Scarlets, the rocky Thousand Needles and Stonetalon Mountains, the Tauren's Mulgore grasslands, and the southernmost Silithus and Tanaris Desert. All other lands were enclosed by continuous walls by the Night Elves, with defensive facilities crisscrossing the interior. Combined with the endless forests, the strategic depth was infinitely magnified. Therefore, despite the vastness of their lands, the Night Elves' defenses remained as solid as a rock.
Whenever Hu Feng thought of the Night Elves in the original history, how they retreated to the World Tree Teldrassil after the War of the Ancients, minding their own business, with their largest sphere of influence barely extending to Darkshore and Ashenvale. As for Moonpetal Fortress in Feralas, it was no different from an outpost.
Now, with Hu Feng's influence, the Night Elves were not as reclusive as they were historically, confined to their own small plots of land. Instead, they were incredibly pioneering, constantly expanding their sphere of influence. Of course, this was also related to the fact that Kalimdor itself had no formidable enemies. The only relatively strong power, the Tauren, also had excellent communication with the Night Elves.
Therefore, even with their continuous expansion, the Night Elves did not earn a reputation for aggression. Just look at their enemies: Murlocs? That's just laughable... Furbolgs? Well, some Furbolgs were not enemies; the Furbolgs of Woodclaw Fortress had maintained trade relations with the Night Elves.
Satyr demons? These were indeed troublesome enemies. These Satyr demons, once corrupted Night Elves, were not unintelligent. However, under the pursuit of Faceless Ones and Highborne mages, they had all fled beyond the Night Elf territory to eke out a meager existence.
The Satyrs were quite unlucky. It was unknown which Highborne mage accidentally discovered that the hearts and blood of Satyr demons were excellent magical materials, and that Satyr demon horns were also good for crafting daggers, short swords, and ornaments. This discovery was monumental.
Overnight, the Highborne mages, who had been indifferent to this matter, suddenly became full of vitality and drive. They roamed all over the Night Elf territories like hungry wolves, frantically searching for and hunting Satyr demons. These terrifying mages' eyes glowed red as they unleashed barrages of spells upon the demons. Even after death, their bodies were dismembered, leading the Satyrs to exclaim, "Who exactly is the demon here? Is there any reason left in this world?"
Of course, if you wanted to reason with the Highborne, well, magic was the reason. After their Night Elf compatriots accepted them again, the Highborne had been quite well-behaved for a while. With Hu Feng keeping them in check, everyone followed the rules, no longer engaging in experiments that annoyed their kin or were considered mad.
Now that they had finally found a group they could legally assault... err, legally cast spells upon freely, and with magical materials to boot, where else could they find such a good deal! Naturally, they would go all out and beat them up!
While the Night Elves were busy with their grand construction, the Eastern Kingdoms across the sea were not exactly peaceful.
The first major event was the division of the Arathor Empire. Humans were a short-lived race. Decades or a century was but a blink of an eye to Elves and Dragons, but for humans, it was a lifetime.
Emperor Thoradin and the generals of that era, such as General Lothar, had all passed away. The new emperor's prestige was insufficient to control the vast empire and numerous lords. Consequently, the lords enfeoffed in the outer regions began to obey orders selectively. Humans transitioned from a unified state to an era of division into seven kingdoms.
Lordaeron, Gilneas, Kul Tiras, Alterac, Stormwind City, and the Kirin Tor Mage Council of Dalaran—these six largest territories, while nominally still part of the Arathor Empire, were in reality no different from independent kingdoms. Coupled with the core of the Arathor Empire, Stromgarde, the seven human kingdoms existed in a delicate balance, with none willing to be the first to openly declare independence.
Time continued to flow.
