Background / History

Hu Feng was an Earth shut-in before forcibly merging with a dying, unborn Titan named Sargeras. The Titan had been simultaneously targeted by the Void Lords, who sought to corrupt it, and the Dark Titan Sargeras, who sought to destroy it before that corruption could succeed. Hu Feng’s will consumed the nascent Titan’s original will, leaving him in possession of its body, inherited memories, and mixed Void, Fel, and Titan powers. 1

He established the planet Sargeras near the unborn Titan Azeroth and chose to cultivate Azeroth as an ally rather than confront the Void Lords and the Dark Titan alone. Through the Well of Eternity, he sent non-hostile energy and mental messages into Azeroth while also gathering Night Elf followers through miraculous displays. 1

As the Night Elves’ Divine Emissary, Hu Feng influenced their expansion, military fortification, magical development, and involvement in foreign affairs. He established Suramar as a floating magical city, aided humans during the Troll Wars, and shaped the political and military cooperation that later bound the Night Elves, Stormwind, Dwarves, High Elves, and other powers together. 9 22 48

After discovering that the Pantheon could not be contacted, he concluded that nearly all other Titans were dead. He recovered Titan technology from the Halls of Origin and began preparing Azeroth for threats on a divine and cosmic scale. 21 22

Hu Feng later destroyed Draenor by absorbing its planetary essence and used further Titan Soul absorption and planetary divine iron to accelerate his own hatching. He emerged as an adult Titan, renamed himself Titan’s Dawn, and founded the New Pantheon around Azeroth. 137 389 412

Appearance

Titan’s appearance changes substantially between his mortal incarnation, unhatched main body, and adult Titan form.

  • Mortal incarnation — Usually appears as Hu Feng, a Titan avatar able to act freely on Azeroth while his true body remains in the World Egg. 9
  • Developing Titan body — A colossal, naturally proportioned humanoid with thick golden hair, black Void markings across both arms, curved Fel horns, and a golden radiance across the body. 92
  • Adult Titan form — A planet-scale figure clad in dark-gold heavy armor covered in divine patterns. 412
  • Shoulder adornments — Each shoulder plate bears an Eye of Truth: the left burns with Void flame, while the right burns with Fel flame. 412
  • Fel traits — Long curved horns flow with divine-grade Fel energy. 412
  • Void traits — Black patterns extend from his fingers through his arms to his heart, carrying circulating Void Energy. 412

Personality

Hu Feng is pragmatic, ambitious, and highly self-interested. His earliest decisions are guided by survival: he avoids confronting the Void Lords and Dark Titan alone, cultivates Azeroth as an ally, and amasses worshippers, territory, technology, and military power. 1 21 22

He is also capable of protectiveness and loyalty. He repeatedly frames Azeroth as someone he will protect, supports allies and followers with advanced technology and direct intervention, and maintains personal concern for figures such as the Windrunner sisters and Turani. 92 125 212

Titanic power remains a temptation for him. Upon sensing his developing body’s strength, he compares the feeling of omnipotence to a drug, but consciously recalls the danger of pride and his inferiority to older cosmic threats. 92

After hatching, he struggles to retain his human identity against the influence of Titan divinity. He explicitly rejects the idea that becoming an adult Titan has changed who he is. 413

Abilities & Skills

Titan Physiology

As a Titan, he possesses an immortal Titan Soul, a planetary World Egg, immense divine power, and a self-forged adult divine body.

  • His adult body was condensed from an excessive quantity of planetary divine iron rather than formed through the usual World Egg method. 399 412
  • He can shrink from his colossal Titan form back into a mortal-sized form. 413
  • His adult body is resilient enough that he believes he could crush a planet with his bare hands. 413
  • His World Egg remains a sanctuary that can drastically accelerate his recovery from injury. 413

Dawn Divine Power

His original Titan power develops into dark-gold Dawn Divine Power, which can coexist with both Void and Fel energies.

  • Dawnlight transforms and strengthens the Old Gods under his control. 144
  • It can shield allied soldiers from Old God whispers. 300
  • He uses it to empower structures, weapons, soldiers, artificial life, and divine-scale attacks. 169 213 371
  • His divine power remains compatible with Void Energy rather than being corrupted or rejected by it. 389 413

Void and Fel Manipulation

He can control both Void Energy and Fel energy without immediately losing his will.

  • He used Void Energy to rewrite the minds of sleeping Old Gods and implant loyalty marks. 2
  • He employs Void arrows, Void-infused sword strikes, and Void restraints in battle. 7 270 389
  • His Fel power manifests through divine-grade Fel flames, horns, and destructive physical attacks. 92 270 412
  • He can combine Void and Dawn Divine Power to damage entities that would otherwise dismiss his nascent Titan power. 317

Titan Core, Incarnation, and Divine Sense

While unhatched, he acts through a mortal incarnation connected to his Titan Core.

  • His avatar receives continual restoration of life force, mana, and spirit through its connection to the Core. 9
  • If the incarnation dies, his consciousness returns to the Titan Core, though recreating the body requires effort. 9
  • His divine sense can cross vast distances, return to his World Egg, and bring other consciousnesses with it. 92
  • He can perceive timelines and observe the original history of Azeroth through his Titan Core. 12

Planetary Absorption

He can consume the essence or Soul of planets and Titans to strengthen himself.

  • He absorbs Draenor’s planetary essence, leaving its core drained and its land devastated. 137
  • He kills and absorbs a Void-corrupted Titan Soul directly through its heart. 388 389
  • He can use Void Energy to drill toward a planet’s core and reach its Titan Soul. 388

Starfall

A Titan-enhanced version of Elune’s Starfall, learned through his connection with Elune and augmented with Azeroth’s power.

  • Changes the sky from Sha-darkened clouds into moonlit, Dawn-infused starlight. 493
  • Calls down successive stars as divine meteors over a wide area. 493
  • Destroyed the Heart of Fear and killed the Mantis demons within its strike zone. 493

Titan Technology and Engineering

He obtains, deploys, and sponsors Titan-derived technology on a civilizational scale.

  • Recovered the Titan Energy Generator, Titan Energy Cannon, and Titan Energy Shield from the Halls of Origin. 21
  • Installed Titan energy generators and defensive energy walls throughout his territories. 22
  • Uses the Azerothian Reboot Device to alter regional climate and terrain, including transforming the Barrens’ Valley of Trials into fertile land. 177
  • Initiated the Iron Maiden Project using the Life Forge to create artificial gods loyal to the New Pantheon. 371

  • Azeroth’s Vengeance — Colossal divine greatsword used with Dawnlight and Void Energy against Old Gods and corrupted Titan Souls. 270 389
  • Origin of Divine Power, Azeroth Binder — Titan-crafted staff left with the Highborne; it serves as their means of communicating with him and has developed rudimentary intelligence. 2
