Background

Hu Feng identifies himself as a human from Earth. Before his ascension, he recalls a life in 1936 Shanghai, where he was a gangster who refused to surrender a mysterious dark-gold artifact to foreign forces. Betrayed by his fiancée and pursued by foreign agents, he destroyed the artifact rather than let them claim it; its energy entered him as his body disappeared in flames. 375

After transmigrating, Hu Feng endured an extended cycle of destruction and restoration within an endless void. His rage drew Void and Fel forces into his heart, remaking his body and beginning his transformation into a Titan-linked being. 1

He descended into Suramar in a human-like form as the Divine Emissary of the God of Magic. The Highborne accepted him as their divine guide, with Elisande becoming his principal administrator and ally. 3 He cultivated human mages alongside elven ones, taking Merith Winterwind as his first apprentice and personally training him through theory, survival, and combat. 10

His use of Foresight revealed an Azerothian history in which he had never existed. He concluded that his interventions create independent timelines beyond ordinary prediction, while untouched events continue along their original course. 12

Following the formation and expansion of his power base, Hu Feng was urged by the Night Elves, Highborne, and allied forces to accept the throne of the Eternal Night Divine Emperor. He initially resisted but received overwhelming support for the new imperial order. 135
