During this period, the Night Elf Empire was in a very delicate atmosphere.

The capital, Eldarath, was closed to all but entry, and several small surrounding villages had been slaughtered to the last, leaving only broken walls and blazing green fel fire.

Blackrock Hold and neighboring territories had amassed troops at their borders, adopting a posture of vigilance toward the capital. Queen Azshara's envoys denounced these lords, branding them rebels and traitors.

Meanwhile, in the capital, the former prosperity had vanished, replaced by ruin, desolation, and decay. Only patrols of Felguards marched through the streets, and the dying screams of Night Elves echoed from time to time. The palace alone remained resplendent, its Night Elf royal guards showing no concern as demons slaughtered their kin, their eyes cold as they stood watch—though the green fel energy in their eyes and on their skin seemed to tell a different story.

In Suramar City, the Highborne mages watched nervously as the Divine Eye took shape, growing clearer by the moment, and knelt in a prostrate row. A wave of pressure suddenly filled the air, and a violent torrent of energy burst from the Divine Eye, then immediately flowed around it like a well-behaved child. Life flickered in the Divine Eye as it slowly turned, scanning its surroundings, finally settling on the group of elven mages atop the Mage Tower.

"Ah, the descendants of those Night Elves from ages past have summoned me of their own accord. Speak, then, of your purpose."

Archmage Elisande trembled with excitement—this was the first response to their summons in centuries since the god had last manifested!

Elisande struggled to compose herself, then spoke respectfully: "I offer my heartfelt praise to You! God of Magic and Eternity! Your Divine Eye guides the Council of Truth, and now Your faithful need Your aid! Our kin in the capital, Eldarath, are summoning an evil god to descend upon this world. That evil god commands an army called the Burning Legion, made entirely of demons. Our queen and some of our kin have been deceived, but we believe the evil god's goal is to destroy this world, not to help us as he promises!"

Hu Feng was taken aback after hearing this. The Burning Legion! Sargeras! Why would a Dark Titan set its sights on this world?!

But a moment's thought gave him the answer: the Well of Eternity!

The Night Elves' reckless use of the Well of Eternity's power had drawn Sargeras's attention. Now he sought to come to this world. Whether or not he had discovered the truth of the Well, if he succeeded in descending, the truth would no longer matter.

The elves saw the Divine Eye fall silent and waited anxiously for the god to speak. Finally... "That evil god is named Sargeras, a Dark Titan, the Destroyer of All Things, and once my brother," the Divine Eye said at last. But the answer only deepened their despair—truly a god, and one bent on destroying the world!

"However, I will help you. This world's defenses make it difficult for the evil god to enter, so he has sent the Burning Legion to stabilize the portal until it can bear his passage. The true key lies in defeating the Burning Legion and destroying the portal."

The Divine Eye paused here, its gaze shifting to the staff at the center of the magic circle. "I will send down a Divine Emissary and an army to this world. You shall obey him, and he will lead you to victory."

The elves knelt, nodding in submission.

"As my faithful, your loyalty deserves reward. You have sealed your city and rely on that pitiful well water to sustain your mana? Accept... this god's blessing."

As the words fell, the energy around the Divine Eye burst outward, scattering like rain across the entire city. The Highborne of Suramar felt their magic power surging, and their crippling addiction to the well water eased greatly. As for the small lake the Highborne called the Nightwell, divine power tore the entire area from the ground, lifting it into the sky through the barrier. The gaping hole left behind healed rapidly, transforming into a massive, slowly rotating golden crystal that floated in place.

"Now, your magic is directly linked to my divine realm. You will never suffer from mana addiction again. And the faithful, upon death, will be taken by the crystal into the divine realm, granted higher forms, greater power, and the magic of... a god!"

Hu Feng's voice resounded throughout Suramar City. The once-arrogant Highborne now acted like madmen, crying and laughing, kneeling and leaping, until, as if moved by a single thought, they all knelt in fervent worship of the Divine Eye in the sky.

"Praise You! Praise You! Great and supreme god! We will worship You forever!" Archmage Elisande, her stunning face now filled with the fervor of a zealot, knelt devoutly before the Divine Eye.

"Now, welcome my Divine Emissary. He will lead you, guide you."

With that, Hu Feng condensed a form and body resembling his human self from his past life, then descended through a pillar of energy to the top of the Mage Tower.

The Highborne saw a figure slowly come into focus. The Divine Emissary wore a black robe, with a pauldron on his left shoulder holding a mass of black Void Energy and on his right a cluster of green fel fire.

Behind him floated a large, spiked disc inscribed with unknown divine runes, radiating flowing energy that crackled like lightning around the emissary's body. His eyes were twin flames of black and green energy.

The emissary raised a hand and casually gestured. The staff that the Highborne had revered as a divine artifact, the "Origin of Divine Power, Azeroth Binder," flew instantly into his grasp, as if it were nothing more than an ordinary, obedient, mindless staff.

Just then, the Divine Eye in the sky began to fade. Hu Feng bowed to it—the act was complete. Then he turned to face the kneeling elves.

"I am Hu Feng, Divine Emissary of Sarogar, God of Magic and Eternity, descended into this world. I am here to lead you against the demons of the evil god, toward victory, prosperity, and flourishing."

After the elves' cheers had subsided, he raised a hand to quiet them.

"Those faithful who contribute greatly will have the honor of learning the god's magic!"

At that moment, two monsters appeared behind Hu Feng. They stood about three meters tall, with writhing tentacles for hands and no facial features—only a massive barb where a face should be.

These were Faceless Ones, servants of two Old Gods loyal to Hu Feng. Masters of mind, soul, and mental magic, skilled at subtly corrupting enemies, they were an invaluable asset to Hu Feng at this stage.

What followed was an endless feast and celebration. In the elves' minds, only the grandest banquet was worthy of a god's emissary sent to the mortal world.

Hu Feng enjoyed the liveliness. Humans were social creatures after all, and even as a Titan now, the loneliness of centuries with no one to talk to was not something he relished.

Of course, by the god's command, Hu Feng now sat in the seat of authority. The Highborne were not overly obsessed with power; if accepting the emissary's rule meant learning higher magic and gaining greater strength, then by all means—rule us forever...

Coupled with Hu Feng's experience from his past life's social melting pot, a round of smooth talk and hollow flattery at the banquet left the Highborne convinced that this Divine Emissary was truly a good man, and that his rule over them would surely be fine.

Hu Feng was enduring as well, but his endurance was a pleasant one. Night Elf handmaidens in sheer, seductive white gowns wove around him, and the female Highborne mages who came to chat were each more alluring than the last.

To be fair, aside from their insufferable etiquette and arrogance, the elves were perfect in every other way. The female Night Elves were all shapely, and their Elven-style translucent, form-fitting dresses stirred primal urges in any male. Hu Feng had never considered himself a good man or a righteous moralist, so the female elves who approached soon found themselves giggling.

"I never expected the Divine Emissary to be so easygoing. Does teasing us weak women satisfy you~?" Archmage Elisande, in a silver-white fitted gown, stood beside Hu Feng, watching the blushing elven mages he had been toying with.

Hu Feng shrugged. "Being serious at all times only pushes people away. Besides, my easygoing nature depends on who it's for."

"Oh? Then how would the Divine Emissary treat me?" Elisande blushed as she spoke—was it the Moonlight Wine? Why had she said something so indiscreet?

Hu Feng stared at her in surprise, then sent a mental probe into Elisande's mind. She seemed eager to prove herself, hesitated briefly, then lowered her mental defenses.

After a long moment, Hu Feng withdrew the probe. He had learned what he needed.

"You're anxious. You want to please me with your body so I'll treat the Highborne more earnestly. I admit you're beautiful, and I'm very tempted. Don't look so surprised—I'm male, and I feel desire toward beautiful women. In my eyes, only your Queen Azshara among the Night Elves rivals you. But you don't need to do this. As long as the Highborne worship the God of Magic, I will do my utmost to help and guide you."

Elisande was stunned for a moment, then smiled and linked her arm with Hu Feng's. She had never been reluctant to get close to him, and now she felt even more willing.

"Thank you for your honesty and thoughtfulness, my dear Divine Emissary. But... now I have no ulterior motives~" Her lips brushed his ear, her warm breath making it hard for Hu Feng to hold back.

"Besides, now I'm completely willing. As an Archmage, finding a worthy partner is no easy task."

"In that case, I think we can have a good talk," Hu Feng said, raising his glass to Elisande.

The Highborne's banquet resembled the Western-style cocktail parties of his past life. The elves stood in the lavishly decorated hall, gathered in small groups, murmuring to each other or approaching those they wished to speak with.

The entire banquet was quiet, everyone speaking in low tones.

"Divine Emissary, would you care to accompany me outside for some fresh air?" Elisande smiled at Hu Feng, her cheeks flushed from the Moonlight Wine.

He shrugged. "With pleasure. But wait a moment—I need to grab a few more glasses of Moonlight Wine. I'm getting addicted to this drink."
