After enslaving the Arcane Spider Mother Nalthara, Hu Feng found himself idle again. He ordered the area of magical corridors where Nalthara had originally resided to be sealed off and designated as the Arcane Spiders' nest, allowing Nalthara to lay her eggs without restraint. Soon, batches of Highborne received their new mounts...

The first group to receive them were the Spellblades, who stared blankly at the constantly writhing, large spiders before them, or at those that occasionally rubbed their sharp mouthparts. Now, these Arcane Spiders were equipped with soft saddle cushions on their backs and iron rings on their sides for riders to brace themselves and grip the spider's body. The Arcane Spiders were covered in streamlined armor carved with Elven patterns, making their overall appearance incredibly fierce. Enemies facing these fully-armed, monstrous spiders would surely have their morale plummet... probably...

Of course, each Arcane Spider could skillfully cast simple Arcane and Frost spells, possessing decent destructive power. When paired with melee combatants like Spellblades, the effect was far more than just a simple sum of one plus one.

However, the Spellblades were up in arms. They would have preferred to continue riding Night Sabers; while they didn't possess magic, they were at least elegant! But they dared not protest to the Divine Emissary, so Elisande's ears were filled with complaints and grievances almost daily these past few days.

The mages gloated over this, looking relieved.

But soon, they too joined the ranks of complainers. The Divine Emissary had not forgotten them, issuing an order that after all Spellblades were equipped with mounts, it would be the mages' turn...

Leaving the cacophony of Suramar, Hu Feng rode his Gryphon eastward, heading straight for The Barrens.

A while ago, news had arrived that an Elven Druid named Naralex had fallen into an abnormal slumber, plagued by nightmares. The cave where he slept had also become infested with monsters from his nightmares, and it was now known as the Wailing Caverns. Although strictly speaking, this was an internal matter for the Druids, Hu Feng, having nothing better to do, decided to join the fray. The Druids responsible for investigating this matter had already gone ahead, and he hoped he could still catch up.

The scenery along the way was picturesque. After passing through the towering Felwood, and then through the perpetually drizzling Ashenvale, Hu Feng finally saw the earthy-yellow expanse of The Barrens. Vegetation was scarce here, and barren land was the dominant color. The few oases present were firmly controlled by Tauren and Centaur. These two rival races, using the oases as strongholds, had been engaged in a back-and-forth tug-of-war on this barren land for hundreds of years, with neither able to gain a decisive advantage.

Upon learning of the Divine Emissary's arrival, a Druid was already waiting in the sky. The large bird, a transformed Night Elf Druid, was quite conspicuous. Its purple feathers and various Elven-style adornments made Hu Feng recognize the bird at a glance.

The large bird flapped its wings and approached Hu Feng's Gryphon, speaking in human tongue: "Welcome to The Barrens, Divine Emissary. Everyone else has already entered the Wailing Caverns. I will guide you."

Hu Feng nodded and followed the Druid as they descended to an oasis below. Beside a small lake, a hidden cave entrance appeared before Hu Feng.

Entering the cave, a refreshing cool breeze greeted him. In the distance, several dark objects lay on the ground. As Hu Feng approached, he saw several red-skinned Raptors lying still on the ground, very much dead. The terrifying claw marks on their bodies proved that they had all been killed by the sharp claws of a Druid in their panther form. Nearby, several sludge-like masses emitted a foul odor, causing a wave of nausea.

"Sir, these are the Oozes that have emerged from the nightmares. They have extremely high resistance to magic; only physical attacks can inflict significant damage on them. We don't know where our companions have gone. We must awaken Naralex as soon as possible, otherwise, who knows what strange creatures might appear."

Hu Feng nodded, deep in thought. Monsters from nightmares manifesting in reality was indeed troublesome. If he were to fall into a nightmare, would all the horror movies and zombie films he watched in his past life also become reality?

Continuing deeper into the cave, the corpses of Raptors, Wind Serpents, and Oozes became more numerous. Fighting sounds and the dying screams of beasts could be heard from ahead. The two quickened their pace towards the source of the noise.

Four Druids in their panther forms were locked in fierce combat with a group of red Raptors. These Raptors had also been afflicted by the nightmares, their bodies covered in disgusting ooze and tentacles.

At this moment, a magical fluctuation came from behind. A blast of Frost energy shot out, embedding itself in the ground before them. A circle of Frost instantly appeared, and a dozen Nightmare Raptors were frozen into blocks of ice within seconds, still maintaining their attacking poses.

"Thank goodness, Divine Emissary! Thank you for your timely assistance."

Hu Feng greeted the four Druids and then snapped his fingers. The ice blocks immediately shattered, and the nightmare Raptors encased within were also broken into countless fragments.

"The priority now is to awaken Naralex. Otherwise, these monsters will never be eradicated. You know his sleeping location, right?"

"Of course, we do. Please follow us, we're not far!"

The six-person team continued deeper into the cave. The Wailing Caverns were immense, divided into upper, middle, and lower levels, winding like a great maze. Without a Druid familiar with the terrain to lead the way, Hu Feng felt he would get lost within a few steps...

With Hu Feng's magical bombardment, the group's speed significantly increased. They soon arrived at a rock cave in the depths. The cave was surrounded by water on three sides, and in the center, there was a small clearing. A crude stone bed was placed there, upon which Naralex lay, tossing and turning intermittently, his face contorted in fear.

Sleeping on such a torturous, rough stone, no wonder he's having nightmares! If you brought a soft, velvet bed in here to sleep on, would you still have nightmares?!

Hu Feng maliciously thought to himself, mocking the inconsiderate Druids.

Five Druids formed a circle, each raising one arm towards Naralex, who was sleeping soundly in the center. A gentle green natural energy emanated from their palms, enveloping Naralex's body. He was being forcibly awakened. The nightmare monsters seemed to sense this as well; the surrounding lake water began to churn, and many dark shapes appeared beneath the water, starting to surge towards the shore.

Nightmare Wind Serpents leaped out of the water, flapping their wings and spitting lightning or venom, attempting to kill those who were interfering. Numerous Oozes slowly crawled onto land, emitting a foul stench. Their sludge-like bodies were covered in various trash, and their heads were the skulls of unknown creatures.

"Don't worry, just focus on awakening Naralex. I'll take care of these weaklings."

Hu Feng waved his staff, and the head of the staff spewed forth a furious torrent of fire like a flamethrower. He walked in a circle around the group, and a wall of fire appeared, encircling them.
