Suramar City on the normal timeline made Hu Feng extremely uncomfortable. The hemispherical Arcane Shield overhead enveloped the entire city, making the light dim and oppressive, steeped in a dark purple haze.
Suramar had yet to open itself to the outside world. According to the established future he had glimpsed, it would be a long time before another Gul'dan arrived here, persuaded Elisande, and led her to join the Burning Legion.
His consciousness pierced through the shield, gathered together, and projected toward the Eastern Kingdoms in the northeast.
Sure enough, just as he had roughly inferred, the normal timeline was still developing steadily according to established history.
He saw the rebuilt Stormwind City. The city destroyed in the Orcish Wars had begun to prosper again. Llane was dead, Lothar was dead, and King Varian had vanished as well. Highlord Bolvar was temporarily managing the Stormwind Kingdom, while the young Prince Anduin sat upon the throne, understanding nothing.
He also saw Onyxia, the Black Dragon Princess. She had secretly taken control of Stormwind City as well, thoroughly bewitching Highlord Bolvar. The Defias Brotherhood was rising in Westfall, and everything was a complete mess.
Hu Feng shook his head. Though he knew he would certainly be terribly disappointed, he still projected his consciousness toward the Kalimdor Continent.
The Night Elves were still the same old shut-ins, holed up in World Tree Teldrassil, with their greatest sphere of influence extending only as far as Ashenvale. There was no him, no Tower of Slumber, and certainly no Crusaders of the Truth.
As for the Horde... Grom Hellscream had not died in the Orcish Wars. He had still arrived in Azeroth during the Second Orcish War, just as established history dictated. He killed Cenarius, the Forest Demigod, then faced Mannoroth the Destroyer in Demon Fall
