  • Silvermoon’s councilors cut supplies to Alleria’s Ranger Corps and considered replacing its leadership, while Alleria learned of their plans from Sylvanas.
Chapters 1–25 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 1Arrival and the Beginning of Everything

Hu Feng became the newborn Titan Sarodar after absorbing the Void Lords’ corruption and Sargeras’s fel energy, then hid beside Azeroth and gained Night Elf worshippers as the God of Magic and Eternity. As Queen Azshara considered helping Sargeras open a portal, Krasus and a human time traveler arrived in the past and asked to meet Lord Ravencrest.

  • Hu Feng absorbed the Void and fel energies, took over the newborn Titan Sarodar, and escaped the Void Lords and Sargeras by jumping through space.
  • Sarodar found the hidden star system containing the unborn Titan Azeroth and settled nearby as Azeroth’s world developed.
  • Hu Feng revealed himself to the Night Elves as Sarodar, God of Magic and Eternity, and his followers formed the Council of Truth.
  • The Night Elves built an empire under Queen Azshara, while the Council of Truth and the Temple of the Moon established their own religious orders.
  • Sargeras promised Queen Azshara power and a world ruled by Night Elves if she opened a portal through the Well of Eternity.
  • Krasus and a human traveler arrived ten thousand years in the past near Blackrock Hold, where Night Elf Sentries challenged them and Krasus asked to see Lord Ravencrest.

Ch. 2Actions of All Sides

Dath'Remar uncovered signs that Queen Azshara's portal would unleash the Burning Legion and secretly ordered the Highborne to prepare, while Suramar sealed itself behind a magical barrier. As Hu Feng altered a sleeping Old God, the Highborne's staff summoned him from Azeroth, suggesting a crisis had begun.

  • Dath'Remar learned that demons were emerging from the portal and that a Prophet's vision showed Kalimdor engulfed in fel fire, so he ordered Suramar onto alert and secretly slowed the portal's progress.
  • At Blackrock Hold, Lord Ravencrest mobilized his forces, while Krasus urged the guards to release the captive orc Brox after meeting Tyrande, Illidan, and Malfurion.
  • Archmage Elisande sealed Suramar behind a purple barrier that cut the city off from the Well of Eternity, leaving the Nightwell as its remaining source of magic.
  • Elisande learned that the Pandaren had separated their land from Kalimdor and sent it drifting into the Endless Sea.
  • The Highborne began a ritual using the ancient staff Azeroth Binder to summon their deity, as Hu Feng finished imprinting loyalty on one of two sleeping Old Gods and received the staff's summons.

Ch. 3Descent

Archmage Elisande and the Highborne summoned Hu Feng for help against Sargeras and the Burning Legion, and he blessed Suramar before descending as Sarodar’s Divine Emissary. After the Highborne welcomed him with a banquet, Hu Feng and Elisande grew closer, and she invited him outside for fresh air.

  • Hu Feng descended as the Divine Emissary, took the staff Azeroth Binder, and promised to lead the Highborne against the demons.
  • At a celebratory banquet, Hu Feng read Elisande’s thoughts and reassured her that he would help the Highborne regardless of whether she offered herself to him.
  • Elisande said she was now willing to become Hu Feng’s partner and invited him outside, but he paused to get more Moonlight Wine.

Ch. 4Attack and Changes

The Night Elf resistance strengthened its alliance while the Burning Legion’s forces advanced, and Krasus tried to prevent the Dragon Soul from falling into Neltharion’s hands. The chapter ended with Archimonde arriving in Eldarath as forces converged on Highmountain and the resistance prepared to counterattack.

  • Krasus and Illidan discussed the costly battles, the growing allied resistance, and the Highborne mages led by Elisande.
  • Krasus sent Rhonin, Brox, and Malfurion to steal the Dragon Soul from Neltharion, while Illidan went to Eldarath to seek power from Sargeras and became the first Demon Hunter.

Ch. 5Wing and the Dragon Soul

Rhonin, Malfurion, and Brox stole the Dragon Soul from Neltharion’s lair, and Hu Feng stopped Neltharion while learning which Old Gods had corrupted him. Hu Feng rewrote the corruption in exchange for Neltharion and the Black Dragonflight’s loyalty, but Illidan and the Burning Legion escaped with the Dragon Soul.

  • Rhonin, Malfurion, and Brox infiltrated Neltharion’s lair, found the Dragon Soul, and fled after Neltharion discovered the theft.
  • Hu Feng intercepted the three as Neltharion pursued them, restrained the dragon, and sent his mages into the lair to capture Goblins and loot the hoard.
  • A Faceless One told Hu Feng that four Old Gods had corrupted Neltharion and identified C’Thun and Yogg-Saron’s locations, while N’Zoth and another Old God escaped detection.
  • Hu Feng offered to redirect Neltharion’s corruption in exchange for the Black Dragonflight’s loyalty, and Neltharion accepted.
  • Rhonin, Malfurion, and Brox returned without the Dragon Soul and reported that Illidan and the Burning Legion had taken it; Hu Feng ordered a search and asked them to keep the changed history secret.

Ch. 6The Orc's Leap

Hu Feng joined the strike team’s assault on Eldarath, where the defenders fought to reach the Dragon Soul and stop Sargeras’s portal. As the portal opened wider, Broxigar Sarufal leaped into the demon world alone and charged its armies.

  • Hu Feng joined Malfurion, Krasus, Rhonin, Elisande, and Brox in the strike team, and reassured Malfurion that Tyrande was protected by Elune.
  • The resistance attacked Eldarath at dawn while six red dragons carried the strike team toward the Well of Eternity, and Malfurion drove Captain Varoon into the portal.

  • Broxigar introduced himself to the demon armies and charged them with his battle-axe, shouting the Horde’s war cry.

Ch. 7Great Sundering

The Great Sundering destroyed the ancient elven empire after Hu Feng helped stop Sargeras from entering the world. The survivors established a new order among the Night Elves, while Azshara accepted the Old Gods’ offer and became the Naga Queen.

  • Neltharion seized the Dragon Soul and destroyed the Blue Dragon Legion, but Malfurion recovered the artifact after a blast from the Well of Eternity struck Neltharion.
  • Malfurion and Hu Feng weakened the portal, forcing Sargeras and the Burning Legion back as the portal collapsed and the Great Sundering tore the continent apart.
  • Hu Feng brought Suramar City to safety and Dath'Remar Sunstrider chose to lead his family overseas in search of a new homeland.
  • Illidan secretly created a new Well of Eternity, so Malfurion imprisoned him under Maiev Shadowsong’s guard, and the Dragon Aspects blessed the World Tree Teldrassil.
  • Hu Feng appointed Malfurion and Tyrande to rule the Night Elves with Garrith Shadowsong and left Suramar City under the Council of Truth.
  • As Eldarath sank beneath the sea, Azshara accepted the Old Gods’ offer and transformed into Naga Queen Azshara.

Ch. 8The Passage of Time

Thrall received Broxigar’s axes from a mysterious human, who revealed that Brox had wounded a Dark Titan during the War of the Ancients. Ten thousand years later, Hu Feng strengthened his influence over the elves and ordered them to fortify their lands, leaving the Night Elves building a vast defensive wall.

  • A mysterious human returned Broxigar’s axes to Thrall and vanished as a red dragon flew away.
  • After the War of the Ancients, the Night Elves and Highborne built Darnassus, expanded their settlements, and established the Highborne’s sanctuary for Hu Feng.
  • A High Elf adventurer told the Night Elves that Dath'Remar and the Sunstrider Family had founded Quel'Thalas and created the Sunwell.

  • Hu Feng’s oracle ordered the elves to build a wall and military fortresses around their territory, and Garrond Shadowsong returned to command the border army.

Ch. 9Troll War and Banquet

Hu Feng joined the High Elves and the Arathor Empire to confront the Amani Trolls, bringing Suramar to Stromgarde and promising to train human mages. The chapter ended with the High Elves eagerly questioning Elisande about Hu Feng and the divine realm of the God of Magic.

  • Thoradin united the human tribes under the Arathor Empire, while the High Elves sought human aid against the Amani Trolls.
  • Thoradin agreed to ally with the High Elves if they trained talented human children in magic, and the Night Elves also decided to intervene.
  • At the Stromgarde banquet, the High Elves met Hu Feng and learned that the Council of Truth had crossed the sea to help them.
  • Hu Feng ordered the elves to select human mages for study in Suramar and vowed to destroy the Amani Trolls.
  • Hu Feng summoned Suramar above Stromgarde, and Elisande arrived with a group of Highborne.
  • The High Elves gathered around Elisande to ask about Hu Feng and the Titan Realm, while she described the magical divine realm they could not enter.

Ch. 10Merith Winterwind and the Sunwell

Hu Feng trained Merith Winterwind as his first magical apprentice while preparing human mages to support Quel'Thalas against the trolls. In Silvermoon City, Hu Feng modified the Sunwell to guide High Elf souls and met the ranger Alleria Windrunner.

  • Hu Feng chose the gifted Merith Winterwind as his apprentice, and Emperor Thoradin made him a viscount and royal court Archmage.
  • Merith advanced through Hu Feng's grueling lessons, while the first hundred human mages formed the Arathor Royal Mage Corps under his leadership.
  • Hu Feng and Elisande arrived in Silvermoon City, where Dath'Remar Sunstrider welcomed them and showed them the Sunwell.
  • Hu Feng explained that the Sunwell caused Mana Addiction and could not be turned into Suramar's magic network, but promised to ease its effects and guide the souls of affected High Elves.
  • Hu Feng modified the Sunwell while waiting for the human army, and Dath'Remar introduced him to the High Ranger Alleria Windrunner.

Ch. 11Alleria and Merith's Convictions

Hu Feng gave Alleria the artifact bow Thori'dal and refused to force her to leave Quel'Thalas with him. When he discovered Merith was studying Fel magic to keep fighting for his family and country even after death, Hu Feng used Prediction to search Merith’s future.

  • Dath'Remar arranged for Alleria to serve as Hu Feng’s guard captain, and Hu Feng accepted her assignment.
  • Hu Feng presented Alleria with Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury, and explained its magical abilities and safeguards.
  • Alleria asked why Hu Feng was so kind to her, and he admitted he liked her but would not make her leave her homeland against her will.
  • Hu Feng reunited with Merith, praised his magical progress, and confronted him about the Fel energy surrounding him.
  • Merith explained that he wanted to master the power that could keep a soul in its body after death so he could protect his family and country through future wars.
  • Hu Feng used Prediction to search through Merith’s possible futures and resolved to command the possibilities of the future.

Ch. 12Seeing Through the Future, Before the War

Hu Feng saw the destined timeline and understood that his actions had created a separate future for those he had changed. After securing Merith’s oath and rejoining the allied army, he gave Alleria a protective artifact and led the forces to Zul’Aman, while deciding to leave Deathwing hidden for now.

  • Hu Feng witnessed Azeroth’s destined history, realized his own timeline could not be seen, and concluded that his changes had created a new timeline.
  • Hu Feng allowed Merith Winterwind to continue studying fel energy and necromancy after Merith swore to remain faithful to his beliefs and protect what mattered to him.
  • Hu Feng returned to his Mage Tower, then reappeared when the allied forces were ready to march; he turned Dath'Remar into a pig after Dath'Remar loudly teased him about Alleria.
  • Hu Feng gave Alleria the Destined Fate necklace, explaining that it could help her evade serious attacks and strengthen her own attacks.
  • Dath'Remar asked Hu Feng for an artifact for Anasterian, and Hu Feng promised to improve the Disintegration Staff after the campaign against the trolls.
  • Hu Feng decided not to expose Deathwing, Neltharion, yet, and the human-elven army arrived at the Amani Trolls’ stronghold of Zul’Aman.

Ch. 13Carry Out My Will!

Hu Feng held back while the human and elven alliance besieged Zul'Aman, intending to make the High Elves learn to rely on their human allies. After his Artifact Staff absorbed the Trolls’ voodoo and unleashed its own magic, Hu Feng destroyed the city and ordered the alliance to kill every surviving Troll.

  • Merith linked the human mages’ minds and led them in a Flame Storm that damaged Zul'Aman’s walls, but Malakkas blocked the assault with toxic voodoo at the breach.
  • Alleria demanded that Hu Feng intervene, but he refused, explaining that the High Elves and humans needed to build a stronger alliance through hardship.
  • Hu Feng let the Trolls’ curses strike him, and Origin of Divine Power, Azeroth Binder absorbed the voodoo before independently bombarding Zul'Aman with spells.
  • Hu Feng opened a massive energy vortex and flattened Zul'Aman with blasts of arcane, fire, and frost magic.
  • Hu Feng ordered the allied forces to attack and kill every Troll before sunset, and the human and elven troops charged into the ruined city.

Ch. 14Victory and Parting

  • Hu Feng continued supporting Azeroth and governing the Night Elves from a distance while reading reports from scouts and adventurers.
  • Merith Winterwind became the Arathor Empire's Protector of the Realm Archmage and established humanity's first mage organization, the Kirin Tor Council of Magic.
  • Lothar received the northern territory of Lordaeron, while a self-exiled Stromgarde prince founded Stormwind City in Elwynn Forest.
  • Dath'Remar built a magical barrier around Quel'Thalas, and Alleria's influence over the Ranger Corps grew as nobles backed away from pursuing her after his warning.
  • Sylvanas learned that Alleria had feelings for Hu Feng, whom Alleria privately called a shameless rogue.
  • Hu Feng chose the Barrens as a place to receive the future outsiders crossing the Dark Portal, intending to beat them into obedience first.

Ch. 16Winter Veil Special Chapter: A Grand Winter's Night

Saelin attended Elisande’s Winter Veil banquet in Suramar, where she saw the city’s adventurers and festivities in a new light. After Hu Feng and Elisande celebrated together, Saelin resolved to protect Suramar and the peaceful life of its people.

  • Hu Feng gave a speech as magical fireworks lit the sky above Suramar City.

Ch. 17The First War of the Shifting Sands

The elf-dragon coalition began its assault on the Qiraji at Silithus, using Hu Feng’s Faceless Ones to shield its troops from C’Thun’s whispers and disrupt the enemy. As victory seemed near, Prophet Skar’karn and the Twin Emperors joined the battle, and C’Thun recognized the Titan behind Hu Feng’s forces and ordered a retreat to the temple.

  • Tyrande, Krasus, and Fandral Staghelm discussed how C’Thun’s whispers were driving coalition warriors mad, and Aethelus explained that the Highborne were protected by their worship of Sargeras.
  • Aethelus opened a portal at Cenarion Hold, and General Darkside and Hu Feng’s Faceless Ones silenced the whispers affecting the coalition before ordering an attack.
  • The dragonflight and Night Elf forces advanced through the Qiraji, with Garrond Shadowsong commanding the army and General Darkside leading the Faceless Ones into battle.
  • The coalition reached the Ruins of An’qiraj, where Prophet Skar’karn and the Twin Emperors attacked and inflicted heavy casualties.
  • C’Thun sensed the Titan’s power behind the Faceless Ones and ordered the Qiraji to retreat to the temple and defend it.

Ch. 18Scepter and Uldum

The allied forces sealed the Qiraji inside the Angerla Empire, while Hu Feng traveled to Uldum to take control of the Titan facilities there. The chapter ended with Hu Feng planting Old God flesh beneath Uldum’s pyramids as he prepared to seize the region.

  • General Darkside relayed Hu Feng’s order to seal the Qiraji, and the allied leaders began building the Scarab Wall while keeping the Scepter of the Shifting Sands safe.
  • Princess Alk'ja led a Tank Scarab charge before General Darkside captured her alive and announced that he would offer her to his master.
  • The allied forces completed the seal around the Temple of Angrathar, and Tyrande gave the scepter to Anakronos to deliver to Nozdormu.
  • Nozdormu asked Hu Feng about the altered timeline, and Hu Feng confirmed that he was changing history and promised to deal with the Eternal Dragons and destroy the Dragon Soul.
  • Hu Feng reached Uldum, concealed himself, and planted growing Old God flesh beneath the pyramid structures to take control of the region around the Halls of Origination.

Ch. 19Vortex Pinnacle and Al'Akir

  • Anshal warned Al'Akir that Al'Khan had rebelled and Wind Elementals at Vortex Pinnacle had been killed.
  • Hu Feng toured Vortex Pinnacle with Al'Khan, then offered him control of the Wind Elementals if he could help suppress the Council of Wind.
  • Al'Akir arrived with four Council members and attacked Hu Feng, who restrained the councilors and overwhelmed Al'Akir with Void Energy.
  • Hu Feng killed Al'Akir and corrupted his Wind God core, then ordered Al'Khan to absorb it as proof of loyalty.
  • Al'Khan absorbed the core and began transforming, while Hu Feng turned to the imprisoned Council members and subjected them to his power.

Ch. 20Offering Beauty and Merith's Fate

After Hu Feng’s victory over Al'Akir made the world fear his power, General Darkside’s misguided offering of Princess Alk'ja became a public embarrassment. Hu Feng prepared to seize control of the Titan devices in Uldum, but news of his disciple Merith Winterwind’s death stopped him.

  • Hu Feng’s killing of Al'Akir spread across Azeroth, frightening the world’s leaders and deepening Fandral Staghelm’s suspicions of the God of Magic.
  • Sylvanas told Alleria that Hu Feng had killed Al'Akir and taken over the Throne of the Wind God, prompting Alleria to consider going to Kalimdor.
  • General Darkside offered Princess Alk'ja to Hu Feng as a peerless beauty, but Hu Feng awarded her to Darkside instead and privately complained about the incident.
  • Hu Feng and Al'Khan organized a sweep of Uldum’s Titan Constructs and prepared to force their way into the Halls of Origination.
  • Hu Feng received word that his disciple Merith Winterwind had died in battle, and he sat down and closed his eyes.

Ch. 21The Truth of the Pantheon

Hu Feng entered the Halls of Origination to retrieve Titan technology and discovered that he could not contact the Pantheon. He concluded that the other Titans were dead and left preparing to face Sargeras and the Void Lords alone.

  • Hu Feng learned that Merith Winterwind had vanished after being gravely wounded by troll hexes, leaving only a staff in his coffin, and reflected that Merith had become the first undead.
  • Hu Feng ordered the Tol'vir army to attack the Halls of Origination and passed through its defenders with help from the Wind Elementals.
  • Hu Feng persuaded Anrafeht to let him enter, then instructed the guardian to blacklist Sargeras and destroy the halls if necessary.
  • Hu Feng extracted a crystal containing Titan Energy Generator, Titan Energy Cannon, and Titan Energy Shield technology from the reboot device's control core.
  • Hu Feng tried to contact the Pantheon but found no beacon, leading him to conclude that all the Titans besides Sargeras were dead.
  • Hu Feng set a password on the control core, sealed its room with Titan Divine Power, and left with a Titan communication device.

Ch. 22Titan's Dawn and Grand Construction

Argus received a desperate message from the newborn Titan Sarodar, giving the surviving Titans hope. Meanwhile, Hu Feng strengthened Night Elf defenses across Kalimdor, as the Arathor Empire weakened into a balance among seven human kingdoms.

  • Argus accepted Sarodar's signal and learned that the newborn Titan had escaped Sargeras and the Void Lords with control of both Void and fel powers.
  • Hu Feng installed Titan energy generators on Sarodar and in Azeroth's Tower of Slumber, and began turning his World Egg into a planetary fortress.
  • Hu Feng ordered walls and Titan energy shields built across Night Elf lands, creating a vast defensive network he named the Night Great Wall.
  • Highborne mages hunted Satyr demons for magical materials while Night Elves expanded across Kalimdor.
  • After Emperor Thoradin and his generation of leaders died, the Arathor Empire weakened, leaving seven human kingdoms in a delicate balance.

Ch. 23Rift Between the Elves

After Dath'Remar's death, Anasterian's dismissive treatment of the Night Elf delegation angered the Highborne and deepened the rift between Quel'Thalas and the Night Elves. Hu Feng responded by reducing cooperation with the Sunstrider court and directing support toward the Silvermoon Rangers, while human kingdoms took note of the growing divide.

  • Dath'Remar died, and Anasterian ascended the throne as Sun King while Quel'Thalas mourned.
  • Aethelus led a Highborne and Nightborne delegation to Quel'Thalas, but Anasterian questioned Hu Feng's absence, prompting Aethelus and the delegation to leave.
  • At Alleria's Farstrider Lodge, Aethelus urged the Nightborne not to retaliate, then teased Alleria about her relationship with Hu Feng and Sylvanas.
  • Hu Feng learned of Anasterian's slight and decided the High Elves needed a warning for trying to diminish his and the Highborne's influence.
  • The Night Elves reduced trade and magical cooperation with the Sunstrider court while supplying the Silvermoon Rangers with discounted or free goods.
  • Human kingdoms noticed the rift, and Kul Tiras benefited by handling much of the sea trade between the continents.

Ch. 24The High Elves' Arrogance and the Rangers' Predicament

The High Elf council refused to apologize to Hu Feng and decided to resist the Night Elves’ pressure, while Alleria and Sylvanas discussed the rangers’ shortages and Sylvanas admitted she had asked Aethelus to tell Hu Feng. Hu Feng received news that Quel’Thalas had closed its borders and halted all trade and exchanges.

  • At Farstrider Lodge, Sylvanas complained that the council excluded Alleria and neglected the rangers’ supplies.
  • Alleria confronted Sylvanas, who confessed that she had told Aethelus about the rangers’ shortages and asked him to inform Hu Feng.
  • Hu Feng spoke with Aethelus on the Tower of Slumber’s terrace and advised him not to pressure the High Elves too hard.
  • Hu Feng and Aethelus received news that Quel’Thalas had closed its borders and prohibited trade and exchanges.

Ch. 25Conflict Begins to Brew

Quel'Thalas closed its borders and withdrew from the world, while the other kingdoms carried on without it. Alleria and her rangers faced growing suspicion and supply cuts, and Sylvanas warned that Silvermoon’s councilors planned to place their own people in the Ranger Corps.

  • Hu Feng learned that Quel'Thalas had closed its borders and asked Aethelus to bring clever druids to him for a task concerning Alleria.
  • The Seven Human Kingdoms accepted Quel'Thalas’s withdrawal and turned to the Night Elves for trade instead.
  • Local conflicts continued across Azeroth as Tauren and Night Elf druids fought alongside one another against the centaurs in The Barrens.
  • Lordaeron pursued greater influence, Dalaran focused on magic, and Stormwind expanded and traded closely with the Bronzebeard Dwarves.
