Preparing to Make a Move

Although Yota complained about it, he did not object to Ace taking out the food from the ship.

Though his personality was somewhat cold and rational, he would not refuse to help others when it was within his ability.

In any case, the Beasts Pirates should not be around right now, so there was no need to worry about being captured by Kaido and thrown into a labor camp. Otherwise, Yota would have persuaded Ace to leave behind at most half the food and depart Wano Country immediately.

Kaido might also appreciate talent, but he absolutely did not have Whitebeard's patience, and his temperament was far more violent. With Ace's hardheaded personality, it would not have been surprising if Kaido killed him on the spot.

Simply put, Ace was still a little too weak to roam freely through the New World.

Ace also became good friends with a little girl named Tama and learned how to weave straw hats.

The girl was quite adorable. Worth mentioning was that her future goal was actually to become a seductive female ninja, which Yota, a ninja himself, found rather amusing.

Especially after Yota demonstrated the Three-Body Technique before her, the little girl pestered him to take her as his disciple.

People in the Pirate World did not have anything like Chakra, but that did not mean Chakra could not be passed on to people in this world.

Just as people in the Naruto World had originally possessed no Chakra either. It was the Sage of Six Paths who distributed Chakra to his followers, after which Chakra spread throughout the Naruto World.

In fact, aside from the three great sacred lands, the vast majority of Summoning Beasts had gained Chakra only because humans infused Chakra into their bodies and gradually refined them over generations.

By definition, Chakra was produced through the fusion of spiritual energy and physical energy. In other words, as long as one possessed spiritual and physical energy, there was a certain possibility of producing Chakra; they merely needed a spark.

To put it more concretely, if Chakra were a flame, then spiritual energy would be oxygen, physical energy would be fuel, and externally infused Chakra would be a small spark. It only needed to ignite them once for a person to possess Chakra forever.

However, for one thing, while Yota's Chakra reserves were not weak, they were worlds apart from those of the Sage of Six Paths. He would need to spend at least several months using Chakra to nourish another person's body before they could gradually adapt and possibly produce Chakra.

For another, people in the Pirate World did not originally possess Chakra genes. Thus, even with the same physical and spiritual energy, the amount of Chakra they produced was pitifully small.

If the Ōtsutsuki clan were nuclear reactors under the same amount of physical and spiritual energy, then ordinary people in the Naruto World would be internal combustion engines. As for people in the Pirate World... they could only be considered steam engines, and leaky ones at that.

These were the results Yota had obtained from experimenting on the Spade Pirates during this period. Though the Spade Pirates had initially been eager, after painstakingly awakening Chakra, they discovered it was of little use.

The amount of Chakra in their bodies was enough at most for the Three-Body Technique. Moreover, perhaps due to the nature of Pirate World people, their Chakra control was utterly terrible. They used the Three-Body Technique about as well as Naruto had during his Academy days, giving it no real combat value at all.

Furthermore, someone like Ace, who had eaten the Flame-Flame Fruit, could not produce Chakra energy at all. Yota did not know whether this was due to Logia-type Devil Fruits or whether all Devil Fruit users were like this, with only himself—someone who had possessed Chakra from the start—as an exception.

Under those circumstances, Yota was eventually unable to endure the little girl's pestering any longer, so he tried helping her awaken Chakra as well.

To Yota's considerable shock, the little girl awakened Chakra in only three short days. Her talent truly stunned him.

When he had awakened Chakra, he had painstakingly refined it for half a year! His body had been a genuine ninja-world body, one that had adapted to Chakra over thousands of years.

Though outside Chakra assistance could shorten the awakening time by more than tenfold, he would still have needed at least one or two weeks to awaken it. This showed that even in the Naruto World, this little girl's talent would have been quite exceptional—perhaps no less than that of clan ninjas.

However, as the Spade Pirates' food supplies had now also run out, Yota had no time to teach the little girl the Three-Body Technique. In the end, he merely gave her a secret-scroll of the Three-Body Technique before setting off with Ace.

Ace and Yota had already decided to raid some food from the Beasts Pirates and Kurozumi Orochi. Over the past few days, the other members of the Spade Pirates had thoroughly investigated the storage locations of Wano Country's supplies.

It had to be admitted that while the Spade Pirates might not have had the potential of the Straw Hat Pirates, they were at least highly competent when it came to carrying out plans.

Unlike the Straw Hat Pirates. Their crew might have been full of potential, but aside from Nico Robin, there was hardly anyone from top to bottom who was truly reliable. Every one of them had their own personal flaws. As the three main combat forces, Sanji, Zoro, and Luffy suffered respectively from being a womanizer, having no sense of direction, and being an idiot. It was already good enough if they did not weaken their own side before every battle, let alone carry out any sort of plan.

Looking at the detailed map in his hand, Yota finally understood the value of the Spade Pirates' crew members.

In just a few days, the group had clearly documented several major warehouses and supply points in Wano Country: the routes there, the guards, the retreat routes, and the quantities of supplies. As long as they had sufficient combat strength, they could easily seize a large amount of supplies by following the plan.

In addition, several mines in Wano Country and the locations of various mineral resources had been marked. Looking at the locations of the Sake Iron Ore and Sea Stone mines, Yota vaguely began to form some ideas.

His eyes lingered on Udon Prison in particular, circling over it several times.

"Forget it... The Whitebeard Pirates' Armament Haki training methods aren't any worse than Wano Country's... There's no need to take this risk."
