Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki died after an information overload in the Chakra Network, leaving the Ninja World without its strongest defenders. At the Five Kage Summit, Kaguya Otsutsuki appeared, revealed that someone else had created the Genjutsu, and led the leaders through a Space Tunnel to meet that person.

• Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki suffered catastrophic brain damage while exploring the Genjutsu space and stopped breathing.
• Kakashi Hatake summoned Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha with the Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu, but their souls had collapsed and their summoned bodies were mindless.
