A Sense of Shattering
Catherine ran back and looked at Tiger Soul and the others.
"Give me back my phone!"
How could Tiger Soul and the others dare refuse now? They immediately took out Catherine's phone.
Catherine's eyes were red as she grabbed the phone and instantly tried to make a call.
But she did not have Shen Wuxiao's number.
So she looked at Tiger Soul. "What's his number?!"
Naturally, Tiger Soul and the others could not tell her.
To cooperate with Shen Wuxiao, they could only sigh.
"Miss Catherine, since Young Master has made up his mind, he will not turn back."
"There's no use contacting him. We'll take you home!"
"Just treat all of this as a dream!"
Catherine's delicate body trembled at those words.
It was as though a basin of cold water had been poured over her.
She stood on the spot, motionless for a long time.
In the end, she even smiled.
"That's right. Why was I reacting so strongly...?"
She put away her phone and smoothed her hair. "Please take me back."
She seemed to have regained her elegant bearing.
Tiger Soul and the others hurriedly got into the car. One drove, while another sat in the front passenger seat.
The rest hauled away the resources Smythe had delivered.
Catherine sat in the back seat.
She said nothing, as cold and distant as usual.
She tilted her head slightly and watched the scenery retreating beyond the window.
Her heart felt terribly empty.
Shen Wuxiao's words when he left kept repeating in her mind.
When she thought that she might never see him again, sorrow surged like a tide and drowned her heart.
It hurt so badly she could barely breathe.
This should not have been the case. Why had it become like this?
