Before entering the martial path, Shen Wuxiao wandered freely and showed little interest in cultivation; even members of the Shen Family treated him as an immature child. 113 The System later states that the current Shen Wuxiao exchanged places with a version of himself from another parallel world, while retaining the same karmic ties. 307

Jiang Huaiyue describes him as someone who will openly manipulate or kill others when it suits his purposes, rather than hesitate or conceal his intentions. 111 He is also highly deceptive when strategy demands it, capable of constructing personas and schemes that lead opponents to act against their own interests. 111 874

His temperament is notably erratic. Liu Ruyan views him as sinister and unpredictable, fearing that a single misstep could make her his next target. 30 He can be petty and vindictive toward enemies, including those already dead, while displaying extreme brutality when he believes his people or reputation have been insulted. 359 678 741

Despite his possessiveness, Shen Wuxiao is protective of those he considers his own.
