As Danzo's soul completely dissipated, everyone fell silent, especially older Sasuke.
Did this count as revenge, in a roundabout way?
But why couldn't he feel happy at all? Instead, there was an indescribably complicated feeling in his heart.
It was not just older Sasuke. Itachi, Fugaku, Mikoto, and Senya beside him all felt the same.
Among them, Itachi felt it most deeply. During the years he spent in Root, he had known perfectly well about Danzo's actions against the Uchiha. He had even personally revealed information about his clan to Danzo.
By all rights, with his great enemy dead, he should have felt relieved. He had finally witnessed the disappearance of that utterly wicked man, and Shisui's revenge could be considered complete.
But Shisui was already gone...
After revenge was accomplished, all that remained was emptiness.
Tobirama looked at the pensive crowd and could not help shaking his head.
"Senya, is there anything else? If not, I'll return to the laboratory. I still have many experiments to conduct."
With that, he prepared to leave. Though he often kept the words, "As Hokage, one must uphold a ruthless attitude," on his lips, he was still human after all.
As long as one was human, one could not be entirely without feelings. Learning that his own disciple had strayed onto the wrong path and met such an end, how could he not feel sorrow?
Right now, he only wanted to throw himself back into his experiments to ease and numb the emotions in his heart.
"There's nothing else for now. But remember to come home tonight. I'll tell all of you together then."
Tobirama nodded and left directly.
Then, Senya turned to older Sasuke and Boruto.
"Danzo's matter has been dealt with. So what do you plan to do next? Find Naruto
