Senya leaned against the window, looking at the open space directly outside, where Iwagakure's new gate stood. He gauged the size of the clearing Deidara had blasted out, then turned around.
"At least he's better off in Konoha now than he was in the Akatsuki Organization, isn't he?"
Ōnoki stared intently into Senya's eyes. He opened his mouth as if to speak, but no words came out. In the end, all he could do was sigh.
Yes, at least Deidara was in Konoha now. That was far better than being in the Akatsuki Organization, despised by every nation in the Shinobi World and hunted by wandering ninja everywhere.
At the very least, he and Deidara would still have plenty of chances to meet in the future. He would be able to see that brat again.
"You're right. The relationship between me and that brat has fallen to this point. No one can undo it."
"Let him live the life he wants in Konoha."
Only then did the corners of Senya's lips lift slightly.
Now that he and Ōnoki had completely settled the matter of Deidara, they would not have to deal with trouble over him later.
Then he pointed at the open space again.
"Old man, Deidara was your disciple, one you personally taught. I can't take too much advantage of you. I'll only take half this land."
When Senya said that, Ōnoki looked expressionless, but inside, he already wanted to start cursing.
He had set aside quite a bit of empty land, but not nearly half!
According to Ōnoki's original plan, two-fifths of the land would be used to build shops for his own village, while another two-fifths would go to the neighboring small nations and villages other than Konoha.
The remaining one-fifth would be reserved exclusively for Konoha.
