Transmigration and lineage

Shen Qing is a modern man who dies after being struck by a dump truck and awakens in the body of another Shen Qing in the Great Wu Dynasty. The original body was an Imperial Guard officer in Baiyun County, Yongning Commandery, already at the fifth level of the Body Tempering Realm. 1

His inherited memories reveal that the Shen family is a founding meritorious clan regarded as a pillar of Great Wu; Shen Qing is its third son. 1 7 He arrived in Baiyun County after leaving the capital to prove himself. 36

Strongest Trait System

Soon after awakening, Shen Qing activates the Strongest Trait System. The system allows him—or his subordinates—to potentially plunder traits from slain enemies, while granting him one trait-upgrade opportunity per day. His beginner reward is Clear Mind (Red). 1

His first days in Baiyun County begin with an ambush against his team, the loss of confiscated silver, and the deaths of two guards. Rather than submit to the officials attempting to blame him, he retaliates against Colonel Sun Jin and begins investigating the conspiracy. 1

Shen Qing is direct, pragmatic, and aggressively intolerant of threats against himself or his subordinates. He routinely treats hostile officials, cultists, gangs, and sect disciples as enemies to be eliminated rather than negotiated with. 4 7 31 47

He is also calculating. He exploits corruption between rival groups, anticipates ambushes, and acts only after arranging the circumstances to his advantage, as seen when he replaces Fang Ming during Ma Kui's attempted interception of Sun Yun. 26 33

Shen Qing strongly rewards loyalty. Black Dog, Scholar, and Old Li earned his favor by supporting him against Sun Jin immediately after his arrival; he later gives them extra shares of mission rewards and keeps them as his personal guard. 1 8 16
