One Supernatural Being legion after another was summoned from across the country to the Winterwolf Fortress region—what had once been an exceptionally broad defensive depth now even appeared "crowded." Typhonian corps had long since packed every castle, city, and fortress within the defensive zone, while vast numbers of camps and temporary military stations had been established between the lines. Correspondingly, Cecil's forces were also streaming continuously toward the front.
Of course, in sheer numbers alone, Cecil's army was still far smaller than the Typhonians, who had brought out their considerable reserves.
The atmosphere across the entire theater had grown tense to the extreme, oppressive to the extreme. Amid this unusual atmosphere and the massive concentration of personnel, a peculiar "presence" spreading throughout the region became more apparent by the day.
Reports of "anomalous sightings" from ordinary people began rising exponentially. The number of civilians fleeing from the border into the interior reached a new peak in recent days. Even those who had previously been too attached to their homeland to leave, or too poor to relocate, were now trying every possible means to get away from this troubled land.
In an intelligence office at Winterwolf Fortress, Amber sat behind an especially broad desk. Intelligence documents delivered through every possible channel were piled around her, including reports from Intelligence Bureau headquarters, frontline reconnaissance units, records departments, and more. Intelligence Bureau agents and assistant strategists at every level had streamlined and processed the documents as much as possible, yet the stack before her was still mountainous.
The petite Half-elf sat behind the desk, looking as though she had nearly been buried beneath the files.
Amber shifted in her broad chair and adjusted into a more relaxed posture. Her legs swung twice as her amber eyes swept once
