Gawain knew that even though he and Rosetta had reached a consensus here, there were still countless details to negotiate slowly regarding how to establish various rules during the reconstruction of the Circumcontinental Route, how to distribute the route's profits, how to ensure the safety of ship passage, and how to lay the groundwork for future international maritime law. At least on paper, the agreement also had to ensure "equal opportunities" for Typhon and other nations once their maritime technology developed. The subsequent negotiations might last a long time, and even after this 112th meeting, there would be multiple phased conferences awaiting the diplomats of both sides—and potentially other parties that might join later.
This was, after all, a historic event capable of changing the continent's situation. Even if Cecil would hold overwhelming influence over the Circumcontinental Route, Gawain had to give every participant sufficient respect and dignity—otherwise, it would contradict the political principles he had always promoted.

Gawain and Amber had both thought he would show at least a moment of frustration and disappointment. Yet, to their surprise, Rosetta merely exhaled. His eyes remained bright, and his entire being seemed filled with an undying confidence. He had already found his next goal to strive toward—a goal that might be more difficult than any challenge he had faced at home, yet one that instead filled him with fighting spirit.
