The gods emerged from the dark chaos and strode toward the fortress of doomsday where mortals had defied divine authority. The sight was nothing short of breathtaking.

But seeing what they looked like was even more breathtaking than watching them descend.

He watched these powerful beings, formed from projections of mortal thought, limp out of the darkness one after another in all manner of shapes and postures. He even saw these towering figures, like giants or colossal beasts, occasionally supporting one another while warily scrutinizing every companion around them.

Before today, they had never gathered like this. The gods had each been bound within their divine kingdoms by the shackles of their respective currents of thought, unable to observe or communicate with one another. Even after Night Lady had recently separated their human forms from their divinity, they clearly had not had the leisure to pay each other visits. This "summoning" Gawain had arranged was likely the unprecedented and never-to-be-repeated "day of gathering for all gods" in this era of civilization. These great beings, long trapped upon their Divine Thrones, displayed both curiosity and caution toward their "peers," while also seeming to feel a certain kinship due to their similar circumstances.
