At first, Lucius had intended to summon a demon to kill Vampire Dracula—to use a demon against a demon. But after he truly summoned Roy, he suddenly remembered the rumors of Dracula's rise to power. Greed quickly grew in his heart once more. He was no longer content with merely destroying the vampire to save his own life; he wanted Eternal Life like a vampire's.
But now he suddenly realized that, at a time when the church had already sent people to deal with the vampires, he had summoned a demon. That did not seem good at all!
What if the demon before him truly misunderstood and thought Lucius had tricked him? What if Roy, enraged, violated the contract and killed him?
Lucius did not know what Roy was thinking. He merely instinctively felt that the atmosphere had grown heavy, so he could only wait nervously for Roy's judgment.
Just then, Lucius suddenly felt an invisible force supporting his body and lifting him into the air. He immediately panicked.
Using Telekinesis, Roy pulled Lucius before him. His demon vertical pupils were staring intently at Lucius, making him feel horrifying chills. After a long moment, Roy finally asked, "Is it daytime or nighttime outside?"
"It's nighttime, nighttime!" Lucius answered hastily, drenched in sweat.
Bang! Roy withdrew his Telekinesis, and Lucius's fat body crashed to the floor. Roy, meanwhile, violently beat his wings, smashed through the wooden ceiling overhead, and flew upward.
The place where Lucius had arranged the Demon Summoning Ritual was in the basement of his manor. Such an evil ritual naturally could not be allowed to reach anyone's ears. When Lucius saw Roy fly out so suddenly, he grew even more terrified, afraid that someone would see Roy and discover that he had summoned a demon. He hurriedly chased after him through the Stairs.
However, just as he stepped onto the Stairs, he seemed to remember something. He abruptly turned back, pulled out two muskets from beneath his cloak, and aimed them at the cloaked figures who had participated in the Summoning Ritual.
"I'm sorry, ladies. I can't let this get out, so you'll have to die!" Lucius said, then fired without hesitation!
Lucius himself was merely an ordinary man and possessed no magic power. How could he have activated the Summoning Ritual on his own? The ones who had activated the Magic Array were not him, but these women in black cloaks. They were the Witches people often spoke of. Weak magic power existed within them, and only by joining forces had they been able to activate the Magic Array.
These Witches had originally been secretly hired by Lucius as bodyguards, meant only to guard against Vampire Dracula. But after witnessing a demon appear with their own eyes, they could no longer be allowed to live. Lucius pulled the trigger without hesitation and killed them in the basement.
Because Lucius had already signed a contract with Roy, the souls formed after the Witches died actually drifted directly toward the hole Roy had smashed open, flying toward Roy's location.
Lucius had originally been an ordinary man, yet now he could actually see these Soul Light Orbs. After staring in shock for a while, he finally remembered himself and hurriedly ran out.
On the high rooftop of Lucius's manor, Roy was crouching there. It was winter, and the rooftop was covered in white snow, bitterly cold. The sky was overcast, and he could not see the light of the moon or stars. Yet when Roy reached out and grabbed a handful of snow, he discovered how real it was. The snow melted in his hand and turned into Water Droplets that fell down. Every step, every form, was so natural.
Transylvania Town was built against the mountains. As the town's sole remaining noble, Lucius had built his manor on higher ground. Crouching on the rooftop, Roy could overlook the entire town. In the night, scattered points of firelight shone throughout the town, while thin smoke blanketed it. It was smoke released as people burned wood to make fire and keep warm.
Roy looked at the scene in confusion. Everything before him was clearly so real, yet it gave him an illusory feeling. After learning that the world he had entered followed the same plot as the Van Helsing Movie, Roy felt that his current experience was very similar to those Infinite Flow Novels.
The difference, however, was that he had not met any Main God, nor had any mission been issued to him. He had come to this world merely because a greed-filled human had carried out a Demon Summoning...
What truly confused Roy was that he suddenly did not know what he was supposed to do in this world...
Four Soul Light Orbs drifted up through the obstruction and floated around Roy. One glance was enough for him to understand that these were souls offered by Lucius. He had not expected that guy to kill all his subordinates!
Roy casually grabbed one soul and tossed it into his mouth. Feeling the pleasure brought by devouring a soul, he suddenly figured it out. Fuck it, real or imaginary, since I'm alive as a demon, I'll just keep living like this for now. Do I really need to think so much about what I should do...? My mission is Harvest Soul, after all!

At first, Roy thought he was imagining things. How could an obese fat man drenched in foul-smelling sweat make him feel that way? But then Roy realized that the fragrance was not coming from Lucius's body—it was coming from... his soul!
Recalling how Lucius had just killed his subordinates and offered up four souls, Roy suddenly came to a realization.
Could the fragrance from Lucius's soul be because he had begun to... fall~?
