Bloodthirst Technique

Roy had initially wanted to create a long-range spell skill. On one hand, he could fire off spells with a biubiu biubiu, which felt pretty awesome. On the other, deep down, he felt that only spells that could be fired outward truly counted as magic.

Roy knew quite a few spells like that: Fire Arrow, Frost Arrow, Chaos Arrow, Spirit Sphere, Wind Blade, Super Electromagnetic Cannon, and so on. But with so many ideas popping up, Roy instead found himself unable to choose. He wanted to learn this one, and that one too.

However, Roy only had one Corrupted Soul on hand, and he had no idea how much it would take to manifest a magic skill. So he could only suppress the urge and decided it would be best to consider his own circumstances.

He had taken a trip to the Van Helsing World. Although it had only been for exploration and to clear up his doubts, meaning he had spent most of the time merely tagging along, and although he nearly failed to return if he had not prepared in advance, that first summoning experience had taught Roy quite a few things.

Most worlds capable of summoning demons probably possessed Magical Supernatural Power. However, there were different levels to that power—the commonly mentioned Low-Magic High-Magic Worlds. In low-magic worlds, whether demon hunters or the monsters within them, most relied on their physical strength in battle. As a result, even Lower Demons from a Shallow Abyss World could wreak havoc there.

Roy himself was also a Lower Demon. Thanks to the T-Virus Enhancement, he had already tapped into most of the potential of his demon body. His current strength was basically what a normal Lower Top Tier Demon possessed. Yet even that level of power was enough to crush a famous vampire monster like Dracula in the Van Helsing World.

But it was worth noting that, due to his impure bloodline, Roy himself had no idea whether his demon body could still evolve. According to his own plans, he could either seek advancement through the Ancient Law followed by demons for countless millennia, or find a way to collect a large number of souls and use the system to transform himself into advancing. Either way meant Roy would need to remain in the Shallow Abyss World for quite some time.

Roy did not know how large the Shallow Abyss World truly was, nor did he know how many Lower Demons lived there. Who knew whether there were demons stronger and faster than him among them?

Once demons passed the Juvenile Form, went through the Growth Stage, and entered the Mature Stage, they could all be called Lower Top Tier... And the longer a demon lived, the stronger it became. Roy's originally two-meter-tall body began to expand continuously. The muscles on his arms, chest, abdomen, and legs swelled high. It felt like transforming from Dwayne Johnson into the Hulk, making Roy unable to resist letting out a roar!

A moment later, the expansion stopped. Roy had shot up to around two and a half meters tall, and his weight had increased considerably as well. The ground beneath his feet had been pressed into a shallow pit by his added weight. Even his wings had become larger and broader. Blood-red light filled his entire body surface, radiating outward.

Roy looked at the ground, then picked up a millstone-sized rock with both hands and weighed it in his hands. He figured it weighed several dozen kilograms. He forcefully drove the claws of his right hand into the stone, then raised it with one hand before violently hurling it forward!

The huge rock flew out with a whistling sound. It traveled through mid-air for a long distance, tracing an arcing path before crashing down roughly a thousand meters away!

"Oh!" Roy could not help letting out an exclamation. That kind of strength was really something else.

Then Roy pushed off the ground and shot forward in a blur. Before long, he had crossed that thousand-meter distance and arrived at where the stone had landed.

"I took... around thirty seconds?"

Roy merely estimated the time he had taken and came to a conclusion. Even just running with his legs, he could easily reach a speed of ninety kilometers per hour, like a car racing down a highway. That speed was simply ridiculous...

And his strength was even more outrageous. He did not even know how much force he could exert now.

Opening the System Panel, Roy discovered that his Strength Attribute had risen from 77 to 108, while his speed had risen from 35 to 50. In other words, that use of Bloodthirst Technique had provided an increase of around 40%. Although the figure was not as high as the 100% Roy had imagined, he was still very satisfied, because Bloodthirst Technique only consumed 20 points of magic power. One point of magic power could bring roughly a 2% attribute increase.

Most importantly, its duration was also very long. It was not until a full three minutes later that the light of Bloodthirst Technique finally faded.

This was the optimized choice after automatic system adjustment. Although the increase was only 40%, the magic power consumption was within an acceptable range, and the duration was enough to support Roy in small-scale combat.

Naturally, Roy was very satisfied with this. But what pleased him even more was that the skill had not consumed the entire Corrupted Soul! There was still quite a bit left!

The Ordinary Souls he had obtained were basically all used up. The only thing Roy had left now was that "Sacred Soul Fragment"...
