As Sargeras's apprentice and second-in-command, Aggramar had previously agreed with Sargeras that they would each head in a different direction to purge Demons. Yet he had never imagined that, in the mere few years after they parted ways, the Lord Sargeras he admired most would not only betray the Pantheon Council, but actually fall into becoming a Demon!

During the three years the Burning Legion spent preparing, Aggramar was recalled by the Pantheon Council, informed of Sargeras's situation, and ordered to take over Sargeras's position as commander of the Titan Legion.

A few years were no more than a nap to Titans. The situation had changed so quickly that Aggramar had been dumbfounded upon hearing the news, and even now, he still could not believe it.

Once he came to his senses from his disbelief, there was only boundless wrath. Aggramar's admiration for Sargeras had been fanatical. He regarded Sargeras as the model of his entire life and believed Sargeras possessed the noblest qualities of all Titans. Yet the more fervent that admiration had been, the greater his disappointment when he learned that Sargeras had fallen. In the end, that disappointment and resentment at Sargeras's failure to live up to expectations turned into wrath and hatred toward him!

From this perspective, he and Sargeras really did share some similarities in temperament. Both could be driven to another extreme after suffering a tremendous blow...

Thus, after taking over as commander of the Titan Legion, Aggramar had spent this time searching the universe for traces of Sargeras. Following those traces, he had already pursued him close to the Twisting Nether. When the Star Saint of this planet sent an alarm to the Pantheon Council, Aggramar received the news and rushed over at once.
