In the Blink of an Eye, Three Thousand Years Passed

"F... fuck!"

When the scene and surroundings before his eyes suddenly changed, Roy stood stunned for a long while. After coming to his senses, he could not help but blurt out a curse he had not used in a long time.

He was still on the same planet as before—he could vaguely tell that much—but the collapsed, weathered buildings around him and the disorderly objects buried beneath the sand all showed that this place had long been abandoned.

Looking up, he saw that the planet's atmosphere reflected a jade-green hue. The air was full of toxic dust and gases, and aside from the howling wind, the surroundings were completely silent and lifeless.

Roy took a few steps forward and reached into the windblown sand, pulling something out from the ground. It looked like a Fel cannon, but it had already rusted through with countless holes. Not long after he picked it up, it could no longer bear its own weight and crumbled to the ground.

This had once been a Legion outpost. But as the Burning Legion continued advancing, the locations of its outposts naturally advanced with it. The outposts established in the past would be abandoned, eventually to be slowly devoured by the Void catching up from behind.

"Just how far through time did I jump?" Roy looked at the abandoned planet in bewilderment.

Just as he was thinking this, a powerful force that seemed to appear from nowhere suddenly flooded his body. Roy was currently maintaining his normal demon form, and the moment that force appeared, the muscles all over his body abruptly swelled. Countless cracks split open beneath his originally incomparably tough skin, faint light shining through them. The reverse wings on his back spread open as well, their veins and bones visibly becoming thicker and sturdier.
