Conflict Erupts

One hundred million souls was neither a lot nor a little to Roy. After all, he had previously obtained one million billion souls. Looking at this small target now, it was nothing much. Still, with this batch of souls, Roy had become considerably better off.

Roy wanted to redesign a weapon—a super divine artifact. This many souls were naturally not enough. The amount he had set for himself was actually one billion or ten billion. The more souls he had, the stronger the weapon he designed could be guaranteed to become.

If possible, Roy was still willing to remain with the Burning Legion for a while longer. He knew full well that after the Argus headquarters was completed would come the Burning Legion's most glorious era. The Legion's name would make the entire universe tremble. In the time to come, the Legion's expedition plans would burn countless civilized worlds to ash. If he could act alongside the Legion, Roy would be able to reap considerable benefits in the process.

But as before, the temporal turbulence affecting Roy, Julia, and Benia never stopped interfering with them. They would be unable to participate in this glorious expedition from beginning to end, only appearing and vanishing at a few crucial points in history.

Looking at it now, reaching an agreement with Sargeras and having him collect souls for him had truly been a wise choice.

Time passed bit by bit. Before long, more than forty years had gone by. Roy's strength had increased roughly another twenty times, and the combat power displayed on his System Panel had risen to 5.

But this did not mean he was some combat-power-five weakling. Quite the opposite—it meant Roy's combat power was already five times what it had been before he was swept into the temporal turbulence.
