Thor's Arrival

"Jane, where did you go?!" The moment Jane emerged from the alternate dimension, Darcy hurried over, looking deeply worried.

Jane had only just returned to the real world and was still somewhat dazed. She had casually agreed earlier, but once she saw the situation before her, she froze. "You didn't call the police, did you?!"

Jane saw a row of police cars parked in the open space outside the warehouse. The United Kingdom's blue-and-yellow police car paint scheme could easily be mistaken for taxis if one wasn't careful. It was also drizzling, and the officers getting out of the cars were wearing standard yellow raincoats as they searched for something.

"Don't call the police!" Jane nearly went mad with anger when she saw this. Hadn't this silly girl been through this before? Why hadn't she learned her lesson? Had she forgotten what happened in New Mexico last time?

"What else was I supposed to do? I was worried sick!" Darcy felt especially wronged. Jane had vanished without a word for five hours, and Darcy had been frantic with worry. Yet the moment she came back, she started blaming her!

"No matter how worried you are, you don't call the police!" For some reason, Jane was acting extremely aggressive. In her eyes, Darcy simply hadn't recognized the severity of the situation. "We discovered a stable gravitational anomaly field! And we can study it freely! Our only competitors are a bunch of bratty ten-year-olds!"

"Jane!" Darcy wanted to remind her of something, but Jane cut her off without a care. "You don't need to say anything. I know bratty kids are hard to deal with, but if you call the police, they'll report it up the chain, and then S.H.I.E.L.D. will drop from the sky and take everything away!"
