Though he had prepared himself beforehand, the energy Aether released in an instant still exceeded his expectations.

With a crack, Evenson looked up diagonally. The blast had not only forcibly pushed him back more than three meters, but even the Void Protection he had activated in advance was covered in cracks from the impact. It was now shattering piece by piece like broken glass.

"Just as I thought..." Evenson looked around and found that the surroundings had not suffered any particularly serious damage. Only the sand and stones on the ground had been blown away.
