Quantum... Quantum Girl... Upon hearing the term Quantum Realm, that was the only thing Evenson could think of. What else was he supposed to do, write an advanced academic paper on the spot?

Fortunately, he was not the only one present. Peggy Carter, the former leader of S.H.I.E.L.D., gave a very detailed explanation this time. "The so-called Quantum Realm is... a realm."

"Mm... That's it?" Evenson looked at Peggy Carter expectantly, but waited a long while without hearing anything else.

"How much do you think I can explain?" Peggy Carter shrugged. "Even if I invited every great physicist in the world, they still could not explain exactly what the Quantum Realm is. Every clue they could offer would only be called speculation."

"In short, such a realm exists, and it contains nearly limitless energy. Our research at the time was intended to build a tunnel connecting to the Quantum Realm and extract that energy to replace traditional energy sources."

"Heh..." Evenson's mouth twitched. He had always believed S.H.I.E.L.D. had an abundance of both black technology and a suicidal spirit, and now it seemed he had not been wrong at all. Faced with a completely unknown, unfamiliar space containing enormous energy, what they did was not cautiously explore it first and conduct a series of safety assessments. "So..." Getting back to the point, Evenson looked at Eva and asked, "The abilities you have now are the result of being corrupted by that unknown energy from the Quantum Realm?"
