Ghost Rider's sudden appearance caught everyone by surprise.
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s backup teams immediately descended into chaos. Skye issued a warning that a high-temperature heat source was rapidly approaching and speculated that it was likely a missile. Victoria Hand, in the command center, naturally took the matter very seriously and focused all her attention on Blake's side.
But Blake suddenly went silent, making her frantic. What was going on? Where had that missile come from? And who had fired it?
Could it be... Her heart skipped a beat. Could Coulson have learned that Blake was secretly investigating him and decided to kill them to silence them? That was ruthless enough. Blake was there, but so was Melinda, someone who had known him for years. He was actually going to bury them both with a single missile? How vicious!
"All backup units, do not approach without authorization. A highly dangerous enemy has appeared here. I repeat, do not approach without authorization." Just then, Melinda's voice came through the communicator.
"What exactly is happening on-site?" Hand asked anxiously. At the same time, she breathed a sigh of relief. Melinda was still alive, so it did not seem to be a missile strike. "How is Agent Blake?"
"Agent Blake has been captured by the Death Warrior." Melinda's fists clenched with an audible creak, and her body trembled slightly. After Ghost Rider appeared, she had needed to make a tremendous effort to suppress the impulse within her.
"Then shouldn't the backup units get there immediately and begin a rescue operation?" Hand asked.
"The situation is complicated. Their arrival will only make things worse." Melinda replied coldly, staring unblinkingly at the motionless Ghost Rider.
"What is going on? And what exactly was that thing we detected as a possible missile?" Victoria Hand was completely unable to make
