This woman who called herself the Silver Snake Lady was naturally Stephanie, Gideon Malick's only daughter. She had watched the aircraft carrier fly higher and higher from below, panicked, and controlled her mercury spheres to fly up. Just as she finished dealing with everyone here, Captain America smashed through the door and ran straight into her.
"Who are you?" The moment Captain America entered, he saw the layers of corpses piled atop one another, as well as Stephanie surrounded by mercury. Dark red blood slowly slid off the mercury, making it easy to tell that Stephanie had killed these people. But her allegiance was harder to determine.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend was never a particularly reliable principle. In fact, it was simply wrong most of the time. Looking at the corpses on the floor, every one of them, male or female, had been pierced by at least a dozen holes. Nearly all of them had suffered severe fractures, as though they had been forcibly crushed together by immense force at the instant of their deaths. More importantly, Stephanie's silver outfit was covered in snake-shaped reliefs, and the mask concealing half her face bore nine vicious snake heads with flickering tongues. No matter how one looked at it, she did not seem like a good person. She looked even more Hydra than Hydra.
But with Evenson as a precedent, Captain America could not rashly classify Stephanie as an enemy. Being ill-natured did not necessarily make someone evil. They could just be a goofball! Dressing unconventionally did not necessarily make one a bad person either. Like that kid who liked carving cow bones into human bones and rolling them around in his hands, sometimes even decorating
