While Scripps wandered along the Mekong River in search of three Legendary Tier lords, Qin Chuan took the opportunity to upgrade the remaining Death Shadow pieces to Lower Divine Artifacts.

Every piece had the same base stats. What differed were their base attributes and Divine Might effects.

The attributes covered a broad range, boosting practically everything. They more than doubled Qin Chuan's overall strength.

The Divine Might effects were even more powerful.

The Death Shadow Shoulder Guards, for instance, created an invisible Quantum State Clone that absorbed 50% of incoming damage until Qin Chuan made his first attack. After replicating three attacks, the clone went dormant. It continued absorbing damage but no longer attacked.

That effectively gave Qin Chuan a permanent 50% damage reduction.

What mattered most was the replicated attacks. Qin Chuan wanted to know whether the clone could replicate King's Judgment. If it could, he could leave an enemy on the brink of death the moment a fight began. No opponent would be too strong.

The Death Shadow Gloves, meanwhile, had a chance to trigger Dimensional Strike on attack, ignoring defense and dealing between 150% and 400% damage.

The other pieces had different Divine Might effects. Some steadily weakened nearby enemies, some stole buffs from their targets, and others temporarily banished targets into the space between dimensions. Any one of them could turn a battle around.

With all eight effects at his disposal, Qin Chuan could challenge powerful foes far more easily.

Beyond the individual pieces, Death Shadow was also a set.
