Qin Chuan was not surprised to hear about an Inner City. He said casually, "The treasury is in there, right? What's the layout? Draw me a simple map."

The Crocodile Spirit gathered elemental energy into a screen and began drawing on it.

According to the map, the Inner City had a simple layout. Its main areas were Hung King's Palace, the Imperial Guard Barracks, the Imperial City Garden, Hung King's Treasury, and Dragon Ascension Hall.

Dragon Ascension Hall was where the Ascending Dragon Ritual took place.

Of those five places, Hung King's Treasury and Dragon Ascension Hall interested Qin Chuan most. He immediately entered the Inner City with the Water God and the Crocodile Spirit.

The Inner City Imperial Guard greeted them. They were puppets again, fewer in number this time, but every one of them was at least Epic-grade.

The Imperial Guard Puppets also shimmered with buff spells. A powerful field effect filled the entire Inner City, boosting All Attributes and allowing them to teleport within the walls to provide support as quickly as possible.

If they could take Ascending Dragon Imperial City and preserve that effect, the Inner City would make an excellent base to build up and fortify.

With that in mind, Qin Chuan looked at the Water God. "If I put you in charge of defending this place, could you handle it?"

The Water God answered at once, looking resolute. Then he added quietly, "But you know what they say, guild leader: one person can't do everything. If I have to defend it alone, there's a risk of a 24/7 work schedule. I suggest adding someone else so we can work in shifts."
