"Come on! Today, either you die or I do!" Han Jiang threw out a fierce threat at the two Deadwalkers.

He knew perfectly well that this was only a virtual space, but he felt uncomfortable keeping it inside.

Whether they were Deadwalkers in a virtual space or reality, neither would quietly stand there and listen to Han Jiang vent his feelings.

The battle began again. Han Jiang erupted with all the Honkai Energy in his body and used Hokushin Itto-ryu with all his strength.

The body enhanced by the system after he came to this world, along with Mei's guidance some time ago, had taken Han Jiang's Hokushin Itto-ryu another step forward.

Dual-wielding Schicksal Soldiers had three-stage attack patterns. The black-armored Obedient Ninja-type Schicksal Soldier possessed extremely strong blocking abilities, while the white-armored Loyal Ninja-type Schicksal Soldier could ignore ranged attacks and was highly agile.

Perhaps the system had determined that Han Jiang still had the ability to fight and had deliberately given him time to rest.

After resting for a while, Han Jiang picked up the Dual-wielding Schicksal Soldier's blades and began studying them.

Should he try dual blades or dual swords? He couldn't remain limited to just one kind of weapon, the Tachi.

Before coming to the world of Honkai Impact 3rd, Han Jiang had learned a flashy move called the "Star Explosion Desperate Heal Slash." He had not had a test subject back then, but now was the perfect time to try it.

"How could there be something like this?!" Han Jiang cried out. By all logic, he was only a student who had just enrolled. Deadwalkers alone were enough to give him a hard time.

The enemies in the virtual space could locate students with flawless precision. Since Han Jiang could not hide anyway, he decided he might as well face it head-on.

The Tachi he had initially chosen was already chipped. Han Jiang grabbed the dual blades left behind by the black-armored Deadwalker and headed downstairs.

Not long after he reached the ground floor, the Honkai Beast arrived.

Its hairless skin was pinkish-white, and it was as large as a camper van. Every casual movement made Han Jiang feel the ground shake.

"This Honkai Beast is a little too damn huge," Han Jiang blurted out.

The most common Chariot-class Honkai Beasts in the game were only a little over two meters tall. Han Jiang had not expected the virtual space to throw such a massive one at him, but he still had to fight!

Chariot-class Honkai Beasts moved slowly, but they possessed tremendous strength and powerful jumping ability.

There were many ruined buildings around Han Jiang, and this environment greatly restricted the Honkai Beast's jumping movements.

Holding the blades in a reverse grip, Han Jiang began his first probing attack. The silicon-based Honkai Beast's skin was like stone, making it difficult to injure its internal organs.

The pained Honkai Beast began to howl, wildly scraping the ground with its front hooves.

The crumbling buildings around them began to collapse, kicking up clouds of dust.

Han Jiang gritted his teeth and erupted with the remaining Honkai Energy in his body. He ran to the Honkai Beast's side and leaped onto its body.

Apparently displeased that a little bug had jumped onto it, the Honkai Beast began thrashing, trying to shake Han Jiang off.

Han Jiang gathered all his strength and drove one blade into the Honkai Beast's body.

One hand tightly gripped the hilt embedded in the Honkai Beast's flesh while the other blade hacked wildly at its back.

Even the thickest hide would eventually be cut through. Pale pink blood flowed from the Honkai Beast, and it thrashed more and more violently.

As the blade in Han Jiang's hand sank deeper and deeper into the Honkai Beast's body, cutting into its internal organs, the Honkai Beast finally could not endure it any longer and reared up on its hind legs.

The sudden change made Han Jiang lose his grip on the hilt, and he fell to the ground.

He rolled and sprang to his feet, expertly unleashing Five Souls Slash and erupting with the last of the Honkai Energy in his body.

The Honkai Energy Han Jiang unleashed wrapped around the blade, slicing through the Honkai Beast's skin like blade energy.

This was the greatest power Hokushin Itto-ryu LV1 could produce.

The Honkai Beast was no lamb waiting to be slaughtered. Its two front hooves flailed without pause.

"Roar!"

The Honkai Beast's miserable cry echoed through the sky. Fully focused on the fight, Han Jiang continuously dodged its hooves while inflicting ever more damage.

"Ding! Hokushin Itto-ryu Level up!"

Han Jiang did not notice that Hokushin Itto-ryu had leveled up. He only felt that cutting the Honkai Beast had become smoother.

In the end, Han Jiang leaped onto the Honkai Beast's body again, pulled out the blade embedded in it, and began slashing with both blades at once.

"Wuu..."

After the Honkai Beast let out a limp howl, the virtual space's mechanical synthesized voice finally sounded.

"Student determined to have lost combat capability. This test is over. Student Han Jiang will exit the virtual space."

As the voice faded, Han Jiang's vision went dark, then bright again. He had returned to reality.

"Go rest for a bit over there." Himeko hurried forward and supported Han Jiang, who was about to collapse.

After that final outburst, Han Jiang's hands were still trembling. His body was fine, but mentally, he was utterly exhausted.
