"Captain Kallen."

At the corner of the hall, a passage silently opened, and several Valkyries dressed in priestly robes appeared at the far end.

"Damn it!" Kallen's heart skipped a beat. Why could she never resist looking back, no matter how many times this happened?

The leading Valkyrie saw Kallen turn around and said sternly, "I know it's you, Captain Kallen."

"Again and again, you obstruct Schicksal. What reason could you possibly have?" the Valkyrie demanded loudly.

Kallen sighed. "Do you see them? Do you see these girls?"

"They're all innocent. Their families entrusted them to Schicksal to cure the Black Death, not to have them tied to crosses in the middle of some bizarre ritual!"

The Valkyrie paid no heed to Kallen's words. She removed the spear from her back and charged at her.

Kallen quickly retreated to evade her. "Eleanor, I don't want to fight you."

As the Valkyrie named Eleanor attacked, she shouted, "Fight back, Kallen! Fight me!"

Kallen kept backing away and refused, "I can't do that. They're all innocent, and you're only following orders too. I don't want to hurt you."

"Hmph!" Kallen's words sounded incredibly grating to Eleanor.

"What do you mean, you don't want to hurt me?" Eleanor swung her spear. "You look down on me that much? Then I'll show you my true strength."

In an instant, black mist spread around Eleanor, and her movements suddenly became far faster.

Kallen failed to evade several times, and Han Jiang had to raise his spear to block Eleanor's attacks.

"Kallen, who is she?" Han Jiang asked.
