Grinding Tera Raids a Hundred Million Times

Crabrawler was covered all over in cold-resistant white fur, and its design might have been based on a snowman from the mountains.

It was a Fighting Type and Ice Type Pokémon. These Pokémon generally Appeared on remote, uninhabited snowy mountains; there were traces of them living on Frost Smear Mountain in the Paldea Region, for example.

Under certain unknown conditions, Crabrawler's pair of fist-like claws would naturally fall off. Such crab claws were several times more delicious than ones lost in battle.

Back then, Luo Mu and Luxray had found a pair of crab claws by following behind an Oinkologne.

Though they both recalled the joy of that windfall, neither Luo Mu nor Luxray rashly set off to compete with the Oinkologne for the claws.

It was not that they wanted to be gentlemen and disdained being the fisherman who profited from the conflict. Rather, beside Crabrawler claws inexplicably left on the ground, there was generally always something lying in wait.

Luo Mu and Luxray silently crouched in the bushes, acting like opportunistic ambushers. The Oinkologne that had discovered the claws first sniffed them with its pink nose, and an unmistakably intoxicated expression appeared on its pitch-black face.

Oinkologne looked left and right. Once it confirmed that no one besides itself had set their sights on the pair of claws, its eyes brightened slightly. It then leisurely licked its fur and the dirt on its pink hooves.

Oinkologne intended to eat the first claw in its most elegant and dashing state, then take the second away to court a Female.

At that moment, from the man-high bushes beside the claws, a pair of enormous crab claws with features similar to those on the ground—but obviously much newer—silently emerged from the grass. Oinkologne was still happily cleaning itself, immersed in anticipation of the delicacy and completely unaware.

Crabrawler's fists drew closer and closer to Oinkologne. Whether it could no longer restrain itself or felt victory was already assured, ice covered its fists within a few breaths. It seemed Crabrawler intended to settle the fight with a single Ice Punch.

Yet it was precisely the frosty chill emanating from the ice that made Oinkologne react at the very last moment before it was struck.

Oinkologne let out a terrified cry and lowered its body with all its might. Crabrawler's powerful but slow punch skimmed past Oinkologne's scalp at the critical moment.

The cold caused a layer of frost to form over Oinkologne's head. It screamed and immediately turned tail and ran.

Its sturdy limbs provided ample power and speed. In the blink of an eye, Oinkologne had vanished without a trace.

Crabrawler slowly Looked at His Own missed fist and could only retreat unwillingly into the bushes to wait for its next prey.

"That should be enough."

Luo Mu kept his voice low, but when he and Luxray stood up from the bushes, they made no effort to conceal their intentions. Crabrawler naturally Noticed the commotion.

Crabrawler only felt that it was having remarkably good luck today. Two more prey had taken the bait so quickly.

As usual, Crabrawler crouched in the bushes and waited for Luo Mu and Luxray to approach.

Suddenly, countless dazzling motes of light appeared beneath Crabrawler. They rose from underground, and within a few breaths, the motes had grown dense enough to form a pillar of brilliant light.

From afar, a radiant pillar of light shot into the sky from halfway up the mountain, drawing the eye.

"So sudden!?"

Luo Mu and Luxray halted and exchanged glances, neither making a move.

The eruption of light lasted only a little over ten seconds before gradually fading. Crabrawler, now in its Terastallization state, leaned against a sparkling Tera Crystal, swinging its fists with fierce momentum as it felt its body brimming with power.

On the Tera Crown Above Head, Tera Energy formed a gigantic fist. It was Fighting Type Terastallization!

At that moment, Crabrawler felt stronger than ever before. There was nothing left for it to fear!

"Meow!"

Luxray cried out at Luo Mu's pocket, which had suddenly begun to glow.

Luo Mu Looked at his pocket and Took Out the Tera Orb within, which shone with a mysterious halo. He muttered, "It's charged."

After blinking, Luo Mu observed a second of silence for Crabrawler, then said without hesitation, "Terastallize, Luxray!"

As soon as he spoke, Luxray stepped forward to stand opposite Crabrawler. The Tera Orb Luo Mu threw also blossomed above its head, scattering Tera Energy.

Crystals enveloped Luxray, then shattered into glittering fragments. After a crisp cracking sound, Luxray's body gleamed like a cut gemstone. It roared loudly at the crescent moon hanging overhead, its immense pressure startling the bird Pokémon roosting in the mountain's trees into flight.

Atop Luxray's imposing Tera Crown stood a gigantic light bulb.

Tera Type: Electric Type!

Crabrawler had sensed that something was wrong the moment Luxray roared at the sky. Its hot-blooded mind was instantly doused with cold water. It wanted to flee, but the crystal behind it, continuously radiating Tera Energy, confined it within the area overflowing with Tera Energy.

Crabrawler's eyes widened blankly in fear. It raised its fists, seemingly trying to surrender.

Luo Mu was amused by it. Though he really wanted to quip, "At a time like this, are you kidding me?" he ultimately said nothing and merely ordered, "Thunderbolt!"

Golden lightning writhed like wild serpents. The Thunderbolt, strengthened by Tera Energy, tore through the air and swept Crabrawler and the Tera Crystal behind it into its grasp.

In an instant, dazzling golden light illuminated more than half the sky.

"We'll gladly accept this pair of claws, then."

Suppressing the urge to drool, Luo Mu hugged the huge pair of crab claws from Crabrawler to his chest as though he had found treasure.

Seeing how pathetic he looked, Luxray could only shake its head helplessly, overlooking the glistening saliva seeping from the Corners of the Mouth.

The injuries and paralysis on Crabrawler, which had exited its Terastallization state, had already been treated by Luo Mu.

It lay quietly in the bushes nearby, enjoying the sleep of a baby.

Like its appearance, the Tera Crystal vanished as quickly as it had come.

Normally, after Tera Crystals formed randomly throughout the Paldea Region, they would last roughly an entire day before disappearing.

But Crabrawler's Terastallization, Luxray's Terastallization, and the Tera Orb in Luo Mu's hand, which had fully charged once again, had drained all the Tera Energy from the crystal.

Without Tera Energy, the crystal naturally disappeared.

"Meow."

Luxray picked up two crystal fragments that had fallen to the ground and placed them in Luo Mu's hand.

"Thanks." Luo Mu accepted the Tera Shards Luxray had picked up. On closer inspection, they were, as expected, Fighting Type Tera Shards.

Just looking at them made his liver ache faintly, reminding him of the days when Scarlet/Violet had first released, when he had grinded Six-Star Tera Raids day and night to change Tera Types.
