Chapter Summaries

Luo Mu checked on the farm Pokémon during the midsummer heat and inspected the Berry juice fermenting inside Shuckle Older Sister and Shuckle Younger Brother. He discovered that Shuckle Older Sister’s batch was far better, and began considering how to keep the difference from discouraging her timid younger brother while wondering whether her talent could help produce powerful medicinal liquid.

• Luo Mu reminded the Pokémon around the farm to gather at the Watermelon Field for a chilled watermelon feast that evening.
• Luo Mu found Tropius carrying Applin and the two Shuckle through the apple orchard, then checked the juice fermenting inside the Shuckle’s shells.
• Luo Mu found that neither Shuckle’s Berry juice was ready, but Shuckle Older Sister’s batch smelled much more promising than Shuckle Younger Brother’s.
• Luo Mu worried that the difference in their fermentation talent could make Shuckle Younger Brother feel insecure, and considered building his confidence through battles.

Luo Mu and the Pokémon prepared a watermelon feast and held a moon-viewing picnic beneath a starry sky filled with fireflies. Iron Warrior spotted Ceruledge at the picnic and approached, while Luxray resolved to someday reach the distant legend it saw in the sky.

• Luo Mu, Ceruledge, Oranguru, and the other Pokémon made watermelon juice, popsicles, smoothies, slush, jelly, and salads for the picnic.
• Luo Mu split the Pokémon into two groups to guard the farm and accompany him to a grassy streamside clearing, where they admired the moon, stars, and fireflies.

• Luo Mu received a 500,000 League currency half-year bonus and considered expanding the farm’s house and preparing the Milk Delivery Service.

Luo Mu traveled into Asado Desert, where Victini used Blast Burn to turn aside a charging herd of Blaze Breed Tauros. After setting up camp and spotting Cacturne stalking him, he was joined by Professor Lei He, who had been searching for the Trainer who made a commotion in the desert.

• Luo Mu rode Mudsdale into Asado Desert and sent Victini to blast the charging Tauros herd, forcing them to flee.
• Luo Mu continued deeper into the desert, avoiding an Earthquake that might have triggered a sandstorm, while Lei He arrived at the Tauros tracks and decided to find him.
• Luo Mu observed desert Pokémon as night fell, noticed Cacturne following him, and chose a campsite beneath a rock wall.

• Lei He used Spoink’s psychic power and her driving to steer the off-road vehicle clear of Great Tusk and Iron Treads as they rolled through a sandstorm.
• Luo Mu told Lei He they would follow the Titans to their nest, hoping to find more Herba Mystica and an evolution item.
• Lei He drove after the Titans’ sandstorm for two hours until they reached a rocky area where Donphan and Phanpy had gathered.

• After Palossand fled, Lei He arranged for Spoink and Seviper to guard her off-road vehicle while she prepared to explore the tomb with Luo Mu.

Luo Mu and Lei He escaped the tomb and returned to the surface, where Lei He set off for Mesagoza with Gimmighoul accidentally hidden in her vehicle. Back at the farm, Luo Mu rested and planned to consult Nurse Joy in Los Platos about making medicine from Sour Herba Mystica.

• Lei He and Luo Mu left the tomb at dawn, and Seviper and Spoink hurried to check on Lei He.

• Luo Mu arrived at the Pokémon Center in Los Platos during a downpour and asked Nurse Joy for books on basic pharmacology.
• Luo Mu showed Joy Sour Herba Mystica and explained that he wanted to use it with Shuckle to make medicinal liquid.
