Chapter Summaries

Luo Mu and his allies battled a Guzzlord in Terminus Cave and discovered it was growing stronger by eating Zygarde Cells. After they incapacitated it, another Guzzlord emerged from an Ultra Wormhole, but a mysterious green figure rushed in to attack it.

• Tapu Fini spread Misty Terrain as Luo Mu, Aoki, Lila, and Handsome attacked Guzzlord, which swallowed some moves and healed by eating rocks.
• Tapu Fini shared its vision with Luo Mu, who recognized the green creatures in the cave as Zygarde Cells that Guzzlord was devouring.
• Luo Mu coordinated with the others to restrain Guzzlord, then used a Z-Move to strike it with Luxray and knock it down.
• The group realized they could not capture Guzzlord with ordinary Poké Balls and planned to get help carrying it out of the cave.
• A third Ultra Wormhole opened, and another Guzzlord emerged and charged toward the Zygarde Cells.
• A dazzling green figure rushed from deeper in the cave and attacked the second Guzzlord.

Luo Mu and his companions encountered Alola’s Shiny Zygarde Core, which defeated Guzzlord, erased the others’ memories, and gave them Z-Crystals. Zygarde Core later followed Luo Mu to Akala Island, while Luo Mu continued his vacation and prepared to bring Alolan crops and rich soil back to his farm.

• A Shiny Zygarde Core returned Guzzlord to the Ultra Wormhole and introduced itself to Luo Mu and the others, then spoke with Tapu Fini about settling in another sea.
• Zygarde Core tried to erase the group’s memories, but Tapu Fini intervened for Luo Mu and Luxray; Zygarde Core spared them and left Z-Crystals in their hands.
• Luo Mu kept Zygarde Core’s existence secret, gathered nectar and flowers around Alola, and later discovered that Zygarde Core had followed him to Akala Island to expand its operations.

On his final day in Alola, Luo Mu reviewed the Z-Crystals he had collected and caught up with Kukui before Gladion brought Lillie to ask about their missing father, Mohn. Lillie decided to join her family’s search in the Crown Tundra, and Gladion and James left to prepare for their departure the next day.

• Luo Mu sorted his Z-Crystals, including the Dragon Z-Crystal from Zygarde and many Tapu Koko had given him after battling, and decided to save the spare Decidueye Z-Crystal for Nemona.
• Kukui visited Luo Mu, admired his coauthorship on Pokémon research papers, and shared news about Guzma, Team Skull, and Alola before saying goodbye.
• Gladion and James arrived with Lillie, who had overheard their plan to search for Mohn and asked Luo Mu whether he had seen her father.
• Luo Mu showed Lillie a photograph of Mohn and confirmed that Mohn was in the Crown Tundra, while warning her that the region was dangerous.
• Lillie insisted on joining the search despite her fear of touching Pokémon, and Gladion and James left to prepare for the family’s departure the next day.

Luo Mu returned from Alola to his snow-covered farm in Paldea with Zygarde Core and several Pokémon, where Calyrex welcomed them. The next morning, Mimikyu told him the Tauros Pokémon Eggs were showing signs of hatching, and Luo Mu hurried downstairs to see what would emerge.

• Zygarde Core split off two cells to watch the thirteen Pokémon Eggs and alert Luo Mu when they were ready to hatch.
• Luo Mu visited the Lake Area and saw Tapu Fini and Popplio being welcomed by the farm’s aquatic Pokémon.

Luo Mu cared for thirteen newborn Tauros through the night, then brought Arven, Botan, and Pippa to the farm, where they met the new Pokémon Chefs. After the group admired the newborns and enjoyed a feast prepared by Audino and Falinks, Audino served little Eevee sister a nourishing soup made especially for her.

• Luo Mu and the farm Pokémon fed and cared for thirteen male Tauros until dawn, while Calyrex and Oranguru offered to keep watch.

• Luo Mu reached Porto Marinada and visited Xue Zhong and Shu Zi, who welcomed him and thanked him for helping arrange their move.

• Arven cleaned and repaired the lighthouse home and cooked dinner in anticipation of Sada and Turo’s return.
• Dragonite, Ogerpon, and Comfey brought Arven bouquets and flower crowns to decorate the house and welcome his parents.
• Luo Mu watched Tapu Fini communicate with the South Paldea Sea and reflected on the farm’s Pokémon, including the unusually energetic Tauros.

As the year ended, Luo Mu prepared for New Year's Eve and read greeting letters from friends, colleagues, and students. A letter from Lusamine brought encouraging news about her family, while Lysandre's recruitment letter left Luo Mu angry and wary.

• Professor Sada and Professor Turo told Luo Mu that Terapagos might soon awaken and that they would begin the Time Machine's second operation after New Year.
• Luo Mu learned that Regice had wanted to preserve wilting flowers by freezing them, and he arranged for Houndoom to lead the energetic Tauros out to graze.

After the Pokémon’s dangerously enhanced fireworks nearly caused a panic, Luo Mu explained the incident to the police and welcomed the New Year with his farm Pokémon. That night, the Crystal Gem awakened and transformed into a Pokémon.

• Luo Mu punished Moltres, Victini, Zygarde Core, and Calyrex for empowering the fireworks, then brought dumplings to the Los Platos police station and explained what happened.
• On January 1, Luo Mu let the Corviknight take a day off and spent the morning relaxing with the farm Pokémon while considering livestream sales for the farm.
• Alcremie made festive New Year desserts, and Luo Mu checked the Farming Area’s new black soil, greenhouse seeds, and hibernating Pokémon.

• Terapagos woke in Luo Mu’s living room, panicked at the unfamiliar Pokémon around it, and withdrew into its crystal shell.
• Audino examined Terapagos and told Oranguru and Calyrex that it was experiencing an acute stress reaction.
• Calyrex and Zygarde Core used their powers to soothe Terapagos, and Audino confirmed that its heart rate had become more normal.

The chapter ended with Luo Mu realizing Geeta had secretly made him battle the Elite Four consecutively before facing her, while Nemona eagerly wanted to try the same ordeal.

• Luo Mu learned that Geeta had scheduled Nemona’s Champion Assessment for three days later, with Iono set to livestream the challenge.
