Chapter Summaries

Luo Mu and Pearly traveled to the Alabaster Icelands, where Luo Mu defeated the Snowfield King Avalugg and Sky King Braviary. As he prepared to claim a Plate, a psychic vision began showing him the past of a little fox.

• Luo Mu met Sazanami in Jubilife Village and learned that a Diamond Clan warden had obstructed Sazanami when the frenzied Foothills King clashed with the Cave King.
• Pearly persuaded Luo Mu to visit the Alabaster Icelands before Mt. Coronet Foothills, while Diamond Clan Leader agreed to deal with the stubborn warden Mokoshun.
• Luo Mu met with Calyrex, then traveled with Pearly to the Alabaster Icelands.
• Luo Mu and Ceruledge defeated the frenzied Snowfield King Avalugg, while Dragonite defeated the Sky King Braviary.

Luo Mu received a trial from the deity of Lake Verity involving a Hisuian Zoroark and Zorua, then learned from Hamada that the Pokémon resembled the legendary Demon Fox. He prepared to investigate the Ice Pillar Cave beneath Avalanche Slope, where the trial’s tragic future might be prevented.

• Luo Mu witnessed a vision of a Hisuian Zoroark protecting a Zorua and received a message urging him to reverse a tragic future.
• Luo Mu purified the Ice Pillar Slate and Sky Slate, gave the Sky Slate to Dragonite, and planned to give the Ice Pillar Slate to Glastrier.

• Luo Mu insisted that Hamada and Pearly guide him to Ice Pillar Cave immediately, despite the approaching blizzard and nightfall.
• Uxie watched them leave and recalled saving a frail Hisuian Zoroark long ago; unable to intervene in the danger facing it and its descendant, Uxie hoped Luo Mu would help in its place.
• Hamada and Pearly led Luo Mu through the canyon at Icebound Falls, where Goomy's Shelter and metal shell protected them from the Glalie's Explosions.
• The group reached the cave openings beneath Avalanche Slope, and Luo Mu and Hamada descended before Pearly could finish preparing her rope.

Zoroark tried to escape Ice Pillar Cave with the abandoned shiny Zorua while hundreds of Sneasel and Weavile besieged them. Luo Mu and his Pokémon arrived in time to clear a path, and he confronted the stunned attackers as his Pokémon backed him up.

• Zoroark, nearing the end of its life, dispelled its illusion and charged through the Weavile encirclement with Zorua, but the attackers overwhelmed its escape attempt.
• Zoroark used its remaining strength to unleash a mass of terrifying phantoms against the Sneasel and Weavile.
• Victini used V-Create to blast through the attackers and open a path into the cave.
• Luo Mu arrived with Ceruledge, Arcanine, Moltres, Pearly, and Hamada, relieved to find Zoroark and Zorua alive.
• Luo Mu told the Weavile and Sneasel that he was protecting Zoroark and Zorua, while his Pokémon displayed their imposing auras.

Luo Mu drove off the Weavile and Sneasel, but discovered that Zoroark was dying after using up much of its remaining life force to protect Zorua. He had Moltres slow Zoroark’s decline with Sacred Fire, then summoned Calyrex, whose powerful life force began flooding into Zoroark as the chapter ended.

• The Weavile and Sneasel retreated with their injured companions after deciding they could not defeat Luo Mu’s Pokémon.
• Zoroark collapsed, and Luo Mu realized its lifespan was nearly over after it had spent its remaining strength protecting Zorua.
• Zoroark entrusted Zorua to Luo Mu, who took the Shiny Zorua while Hamada explained that treatment could not restore Zoroark’s lost vitality.
• Luo Mu ordered Moltres to use Sacred Fire, which healed Zoroark’s wounds and slowed its loss of life force.
• Luo Mu summoned Calyrex, which began pouring a tremendous amount of life force into Zoroark.

Luo Mu saved Zoroark and Zorua, and Calyrex extended Zoroark’s life so it could stay with the young Pokémon. After Zoroark joined Luo Mu’s group, Uxie watched them arrive at Lake Verity and questioned how Luo Mu had surpassed the trial it intended to set.

• Calyrex used its power to restore Zoroark’s life force, and Zoroark reunited with Zorua.
• Wanderer watched the events through the Reversal World and remained confident that his plan with Giratina would succeed.
• Luo Mu welcomed Zoroark and Zorua into his group after Zoroark asked to follow him and repay the rescue.

After completing the Lake Guardians’ trials, Luo Mu received the Red Chain and pacified the remaining two Kings. He and Calyrex reached the Sinnoh Temple atop Mt. Coronet, where a massive figure waited beyond shattered space.

Luo Mu and Calyrex confronted the rampaging Dialga and Palkia as the Time-Space Rift expanded above Mt. Coronet. After their Pokémon stalled the gods and they transformed into their Origin Formes, Luo Mu revealed the Red Chain and charged after them with Calyrex.

• Dialga and Palkia fought inside the Time-Space Rift, worsening its instability, so Luo Mu and Calyrex decided to intervene.
• Calyrex revealed Spectrier and Glastrier, then drew the attention of Dialga and Palkia by unleashing its Legendary aura.
• Luo Mu deployed Luxray, Serperior, Swampert, Ceruledge, Mimikyu, Dragonite, Arcanine, and Moltres to support Calyrex against the gods.

• Wanderer believed Luo Mu and his Pokémon had been weakened by their fight with the Time-Space Duo, then ordered Giratina to attack.
• Giratina spread shadows across the temple and transformed into Origin Giratina, pulling the group toward the Reversal World and shattering Calyrex’s defense.
• Calyrex dodged Giratina’s Shadow Force after Luo Mu warned him, while Luo Mu’s Pokémon broke free of the shadows and attacked Giratina with golden, plate-enhanced power.
• Calyrex mounted Glastrier and froze the shadows as Luo Mu’s team kept Giratina under relentless attack, with Victini replenishing their strength.
• Giratina decided to escape, and Wanderer shouted that it was pathetic after accusing it of abandoning their plan to oppose Arceus.

Luo Mu defeated Giratina, accepted Wanderer's Plates, and let Calyrex place a psychic suggestion in Wanderer's mind. Mew then gave Luo Mu the Sacred Flute, which transformed into the Heavenly Flute and summoned him to meet Arceus.

• Giratina fought Luo Mu and his allies until they defeated it and left it unable to battle.
• Wanderer surrendered seven Plates, and Calyrex placed a psychic suggestion in his mind to keep him from causing trouble.
• Mew arrived and persuaded Luo Mu to let Giratina return to the Reversal World.

After meeting Arceus, Luo Mu returned to Jubilife Village as the Time-Space Rift disappeared and the clans celebrated their reconciliation. As he prepared to leave Hisui, he discovered that Arceus had granted him a new ability: the Power of Transcendence.

• Wanderer fled on his Garchomp, but Luo Mu reappeared soon afterward with his Pokémon, and the Time-Space Rift vanished.
• Jubilife Village celebrated the crisis’s end; Mazegama stepped down as Team Galactic’s leader and handed the role to Unknown.
• Pearly and Diamond Clan Leader made peace, while Sazanami remained uncertain about his past and asked Luo Mu what he planned to do.
• Luo Mu told Sazanami he might return home after resting, and he reflected that the Plates had scattered across Hisui and his promised battle with Shiny Rayquaza still lay ahead.

After helping the Pearl Clan flourish and arranging Sazanami’s return to his own era, Luo Mu left Hisui with Calyrex. His arrival in the present world awakened Dialga and Palkia, who set out to confront him.

Outside town, Dialga and Palkia clashed again, and their battle caught the attention of a presence hiding in White Poplar Town.

• Luo Mu crossed the bridge into White Poplar Town and joined Cynthia in her car, while he explained that Victini had eaten too much in Jubilife City.

• Luo Mu released Goomy, Zoroark, and Zorua in his room, and Terapagos comforted Goomy about the carpet.
• Caitlin sensed unusual auras in Luo Mu’s room, while Luo Mu learned that Sazanami was still asleep as his recovered memories were processed.

After arranging to test Chimchar's Blaze in the villa's backyard, Luo Mu summoned Spectrier and revealed an unconscious adult man emerging from his shadow.

• Zhen Si sent Chimchar to attack Luo Mu's Goomy, but its Fury Swipes and Flame Wheel could not damage the metal shell, and Goomy barely reacted.
• Zhen Si tested Goomy with Electabuzz and Metang, but Goomy's defenses, boosting moves, and evasion frustrated their attacks; Luo Mu explained that Goomy was an extinct Hisui Pokémon.

The judges’ introductions revealed that several familiar regional leaders and celebrities had come in disguise, leaving Luo Mu and the judges surprised to find one another there.
